بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ الَّذِي لاَ أَرْجُو إِلاَّ فَضْلَهُ
bismillahi alladhi la arju illa fadlahu
In the name of Allah, from whom I hope for nothing but bounty,
وَلاَ أَخْشىٰ إِلاَّ عَدْلَهُ
wa la akhsha illa `adlahu
I fear nothing but justice,
وَلاَ أَعْتَمِدُ إِلاَّ قَوْلَهُ
wa la a`tamidu illa qawlahu
I rely upon nothing but His word,
وَلاَ أُمْسِكُ إِلاَّ بِحَبْلِهِ
wa la umsiku illa bihablihi
and I cling to nothing but His Rope.
بِكَ أَسْتَجِيـرُ يَا ذَا ٱلْعَفْوِ وَٱلرِّضْوَانِ
bika astajiru ya dhal`afwi walrridwani
In You do I seek sanctuary— O Possessor of pardon and good pleasure—
مِنَ ٱلظُّلْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَانِ
mina alzzulmi wal`udwani
from wrong and enmity,
وَمِنْ غِيَرِ ٱلزَّمَانِ
wa min ghiyari alzzamani
from the vicissitudes of time
وَتَوَاتُرِ ٱلأَحْزَانِ
wa tawaturi al-ahzani
from recurrence of sorrows,
وَطَوَارِقِ ٱلْحَدَثَانِ
wa tawariqi alhadathani
from the striking of mishaps,
وَمِنِ ٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلْمُدَّةِ قَبْلَ ٱلتَّأَهُّبِ وَٱلْعُدَّةِ
wa min inqida'i almuddati qabla altta'ahhubi wal`uddati
and from the expiration of the term before preparation and readiness.
وَإِيَّاكَ أَسْتَرْشِدُ لِمَا فيهِ ٱلصَّلاَحُ وَٱلإِصْلاَحُ
wa iyyaka astarshidu lima fihi alssalahu wal-islahu
From You do I seek guidance to that wherein is righteousness and setting aright.
وَبِكَ أَسْتَعينُ فيمَا يَقْتَرِنُ بِهِ ٱلنَّجَاحُ وَٱلإِنْجَاحُ
wa bika asta`inu fima yaqtarinu bihi alnnajahu wal-injahu
From You do I seek help in that which is linked to success and favorable response.
وَإِيَّاكَ أَرْغَبُ فِي لِبَاسِ ٱلْعَافِيَةِ وَتَمَامِهَا
wa iyyaka arghabu fi libasi al`afiyati wa tamamiha
From You do I desire for the garment of wellbeing and its completion,
وَشُمُولِ ٱلسَّلاَمَةِ وَدَوَامِهَا
wa shumuli alssalamati wa dawamiha
and the covering of health and its permanence.
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ يَا رَبِّ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ ٱلشَّيَاطينِ
wa a`udhu bika ya rabbi min hamazati alshshayatini
I seek refuge in You, O my Lord, from the evil suggestions of the devils.
وَ أَحْتَرِزُ بِسُلْطَانِكَ مِنْ جَوْرِ ٱلسَّلاَطِينِ
wa ahtarizu bisultanika min jawri alssalatini
I seek protection in Your sovereignty from the injustice of the sovereigns.
فَتَقَبَّلْ مَا كَانَ مِنْ صَلاَتِي وَصَوْمِي
fataqabbal ma kana min salati wa sawmi
So, (please) accept my past prayers and fasting,
وَٱجْعَلْ غَدِي وَمَا بَعْدَهُ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ سَاعَتِي وَيَوْمِي
waj`al ghadi wa ma ba`dahu afdala min sa`ati wa yawmi
make my morrow and what is after it better than my present hour and my day,
وَ أَعِزَّنِي فِي عَشيرَتِي وَقَوْمِي
wa a`izzani fi `ashirati wa qawmi
exalt me in my clan and people,
وَٱحْفَظْنِي فِي يَقْظَتِي وَنَوْمِي
wahfazni fi yaqzati wa nawmi
and protect me in my waking and sleep,
فَأَنْتَ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظاً
fa-anta allahu khayrun hafizan
for You are Allah, the Best Guardian,
وَ أَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
wa anta arhamu alrrahimina
and You are the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكَ فِي يَوْمِي هٰذَا
allahumma inni abra'u ilayka fi yawmi hadha
O Allah, I repudiate, before You on this day of mine
وَمَا بَعْدَهُ مِنَ ٱلآحَادِ
wa ma ba`dahu mina al-ahadi
and on all Sundays that follow it,
مِنَ ٱلشِّرْكِ وَٱلإلْحَادِ
mina alshshirki wal-ilhadi
polytheism and atheism.
وَأُخْلِصُ لَكَ دُعَائِي
wa ukhlisu laka du`a'i
I devote my supplication sincerely to You,
تَعَرُّضَاً لِلإجَابَةِ
ta`arrudan lil-ijabati
addressing myself to Your response.
وَأُقيمُ عَلَىٰ طَاعَتِكَ
wa uqimu `ala ta`atika
I observe the acts of obedience to You
رَجَاءً لِلإِثَابَةِ
raja'an lil-ithabati
for hope of gaining Your rewards.
فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرِ خَلْقِكَ
fasalli `ala muhammadin khayri khalqika
So, (please) bless Muhammad, the best of Your creation
ٱلدَّاعِي إِلَىٰ حَقِّكَ
aldda`i ila haqqika
and the caller to Your truth,
وَ أَعِزَّنِي بِعِزِّكَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُضَامُ
wa a`izzani bi`izzika alladhi la yudamu
and fortify me with Your almightiness, which is invulnerable,
وَٱحْفَظْنِي بِعَيْنِكَ ٱلَّتِي لاَ تَنَامُ
wahfazni bi`aynika allati la tanamu
protect me with Your Eye, which never sleeps,
وَٱخْتِمْ بِٱلإِنْقِطَاعِ إِلَيْكَ أَمْرِي
wakhtim bil-inqita`i ilayka amri
and seal my affair by acting devoutly to You
وَبِٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ عُمْرِي
wa bilmaghfirati `umri
and my life with forgiveness!
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
innaka anta alghafuru alrrahimu
Surely, You are the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate!
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ ٱلنَّبَوِيَّةِ
alssalamu `ala alshshajarati alnnabawiyyati
Peace be upon the Prophetic Tree
وَٱلدَّوْحَةِ ٱلْهَاشِمِيَّةِ ٱلْمُضيئَةِ
walddawhati alhashimiyyati almudi'ati
and the Hashemite plant that is luminous,
ٱلْمُثْمِرَةِ بِٱلنَّبُوَّةِ
almuthmirati bilnnubuwwati
fruitful of Prophethood,
ٱلْمُونِقَةِ بِٱلإِمَامَةِ
almuniqati bil-imamati
and elegant with Imamate.
وَعَلىٰ ضَجِيعَيْكَ آدَمَ وَنُوحٍ
wa `ala daji`ayka adama wa nuhin
And [peace be] upon your two grave-fellows; Adam and Noah,
عَلَيْهِمَا ٱلسَّلاَمُ
`alayhima alssalamu
peace be upon both of them.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ
alssalamu `alayka wa `ala ahli baytika
Peace be upon you and upon your Household,
ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
alttayyibina alttahirina
the pure and immaculate.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمَلاَئِكَةِ ٱلْمُحْدِقِينَ بِكَ
alssalamu `alayka wa `ala almala'ikati almuhdiqina bika
Peace be upon you and upon the angels surrounding you
وَٱلْحَافِّينَ بِقَبْرِكَ
walhaffina biqabrika
and encompassing your tomb.
يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَمِيرَ ٱلْمُوْمِنينَ
ya mawlaya ya amira almu'minina
O my master, O Commander of the Believers!
هٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلأَحَدِ
hadha yawmu al-ahadi
Today is Sunday,
وَهُوَ يَوْمُكَ وَبِٱسْمِكَ
wa huwa yawmuka wa bismika
which is your day and carrying your name,
وَأَنَا ضَيْفُكَ فِيهِ وَجَارُكَ
wa ana dayfuka fihi wa jaruka
and, on this day, I am your guest and in your vicinity;
فَأَضِفْنِي يَا مَوْلاَيَ وَ أَجِرْنِي
fa-adifni ya mawlaya wa ajirni
therefore, my master, receive me as your guest and neighbor.
فَإنَّكَ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ ٱلضِّيَافَةَ
fa'innaka karimun tuhibbu alddiyafata
Surely, you are generous and hospitable
وَمَاْمُورٌ بِٱلإجَارَةِ
wa ma'murun bil-ijarati
and you are commanded to treat your neighbors hospitably.
فَٱفْعَلْ مَا رَغِبْتُ إِلَيْكَ فِيهِ
faf`al ma raghibtu ilayka fihi
So, (please) do to me that which I desire from you
وَرَجَوْتُهُ مِنْكَ
wa rajawtuhu minka
and I hope you to do,
بِمَنْزِلَتِكَ وَآلِ بَيْتِكَ عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ
bimanzilatika wa ali baytika `inda allahi
[I ask you] in the name of your and your Household’s standing with Allah
وَمَنْزِلَتِهِ عِنْدَكُمْ
wa manzilatihi `indakum
and His standing with you all,
وَبِحَقِّ ٱبْنِ عَمِّكَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
wa bihaqqi ibni `ammika rasuli allahi
and in the name of your cousin, Allah’s Messenger,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi wa sallama
may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him
وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعينَ
wa `alayhim ajma`ina
and upon them all.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ
alssalamu `alayki ya mumtahanatu
Peace be upon you, O examined lady.
اِمْتَحَنَكِ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكِ
imtahanaki alladhi khalaqaki
He Who created you has examined you
فَوَجَدَكِ لِمَا ٱمْتَحَنَكِ صَابِرَةً
fawajadaki lima imtahanaki sabiratan
and found that you have passed the examination patiently.
أَنَا لَكِ مُصَدِّقٌ صَابِرٌ عَلَىٰ مَا أَتَىٰ بِهِ أَبُوكِ وَوَصِيُّهُ صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمَا
ana laki musaddiqun sabirun `ala ma ata bihi abuki wa wasiyyuhu salawatu allahi `alayhima
I verify that you were patient about what came upon your father and his his successor peace be upon both of
وَأَنَا أَسْأَلُكِ إِنْ كُنْتُ صَدَّقْتُكِ
wa ana as'aluki in kuntu saddaqtuki
I now beseech you by my belief in you
إِلاَّ أَلْحَقْتِنِي بِتَصْدِيقِي لَهُمَا
illa alhaqtini bitasdiqi lahuma
to attach & associate me with my belief in both of them
لِتُسَرَّ نَفْسِي
litusarra nafsi
so that I will be delighted.
فَٱشْهَدِي أَنِّي ظَاهِرٌ بِوَلاَيَتِكِ
fash-hadi anni zahirun biwilayatiki
So, testify for me that I am totally loyal to you
وَوَلاَيَةِ آلِ بَيْتِكِ
wa wilayati ali baytiki
and to your Household;
صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعينَ
salawatu allahi `alayhim ajma`ina
peace of Allah be upon them all.
Another Ziarat Syeda Fatima (sa) Sunday
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ،
As-salāmu ʿalayki yā mumtaḥanah,
Peace be upon you, O one who was tested,
اِمْتَحَنَكِ الَّذِي خَلَقَكِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَكِ،
Imtaḥanaki alladhī khalaqaki qabla an yakhluqaki,
whom the One who created you tested before He created you,
وَكُنْتِ لِمَا امْتَحَنَكِ بِهِ صَابِرَةً.
Wa kunti limā imtaḥanaki bihi ṣābirah.
and you were patient with whatever He tested you with.
وَنَحْنُ لَكِ أَوْلِيَاءُ مُصَدِّقُونَ،
Wa naḥnu laki awliyāʾu muṣaddiqūn,
And we are your devoted followers, affirming you,
وَلِكُلِّ مَا أَتَى بِهِ أَبُوكِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ،
Wa likulli mā atā bihi abūki ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam,
and we affirm everything that your father, may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace, brought,
وَأَتَى بِهِ وَصِيُّهُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مُسَلِّمُونَ.
Wa atā bihi waṣiyyuhu ʿalayhi as-salām musallimūn.
and everything brought by his successor, peace be upon him, accepting it in submission.
وَنَحْنُ نَسْأَلُكَ اللَّهُمَّ إِذْ كُنَّا مُصَدِّقِينَ لَهُمْ،
Wa naḥnu nasʾaluka Allāhumma idh kunnā muṣaddiqīna lahum,
And we ask You, O Allah, since we affirm them,
أَنْ تُلْحِقَنَا بِتَصْدِيقِنَا بِالدَّرَجَةِ الْعَالِيَةِ،
An tulḥiqanā bi-taṣdīqinā bi-d-darajati al-ʿāliyah,
to grant us, through our affirmation of them, the highest rank,
لِنُبَشِّرَ أَنْفُسَنَا بِأَنَّا قَدْ طَهُرْنَا بِوِلَايَتِهِمْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ.
Li-nubashshira anfusanā bi-annā qad ṭahurnā bi-wilāyatihim ʿalayhimu as-salām.
so that we may give ourselves the glad tidings that we have been purified through our devotion to them, peace be upon them.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ مَلَأَ الدَّهْرَ قُدْسُهُ
subhaana mam-mala'ad-dahra qudsuh
Glory be to him, who fulfilled the time with his holiness.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يَغْشَى الْأَبَدَ نُورُهُ
subhaana may-yaghshal-abada nooruh
Glory be to him, who his light covers the unlimited times.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ أَشْرَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ضَوْؤُهُ
subhaana man ashraqa kulla shay'in daw'uh
Glory be to you who his light shines upon everything.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يُدَانُ بِدِينِهِ كُلُّ دِينٍ وَ لَا يُدَانُ بِغَيْرِ دِينِهِ
subhaana may-yudaanu bi-deenihee kullu deeniw-wa laa yudaanu bi-ghayri deenih
Glory be to him who every religion has admitted to his religion and do not admit to others.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ قَدَرَ بِقُدْرَتِهِ كُلَّ قَدَرٍ وَ لَا يَقْدِرُ أَحَدٌ قَدْرَهُ
subhaana man qadara bi-qudratihee kulla qadariw-wa laa yaqdiru ahadun qadrah
Glory be to him who decreed with his power every fate, and no one can decree his fate.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يُوصَفُ عِلْمُهُ
subhaana mal-laa yoosafu 'ilmuh
Glory be to him who; His knowledge can not be described.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَعْتَدِي عَلَى أَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِهِ
subhaana mal-laa ya'tadee 'alaa ahli mamlakatih
Glory be to Him Who does not transgress against the inhabitants of his Kingdom!
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَأْخُذُ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ بِأَلْوَانِ الْعَذَابِ
subhaana mal-laa ya'khudhu ahlal-ardi bi-alwaanil-'adhaab
Glory be to him who does not chastise the people of the earth with various punishments.
سُبْحَانَ الرَّءُوفِ الرَّحِيمِ
subhaanar-ra'oofir-raheem
Glory be to Him who is kind and Merciful.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ مُطَّلِعٌ عَلَى خَزَائِنِ الْقُلُوبِ
subhaana man huwa muttali'un 'alaa khazaa'inil-quloob
Glory be to him who is aware of the hearts' treasuries.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يُحْصِي عَدَدَ الذُّنُوبِ
subhaana may-yuhsee 'adadadh-dhunoob
Glory be to Him Who knows the exact count of the sins!
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا تَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ خَافِيَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لَا فِي السَّمَاءِ
subhaana mal-laa takhfaa 'alayhi khaafiyatun feel-ardi wa laa fees-samaa'
Glory be to him who does not deceive those who do everything in secret, in earth or heavens.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْوَدُودِ
subhaana rabbiyal-wadood
Glory be to the Loving Lord!
سُبْحَانَ الْفَرْدِ الْوَتْرِ
subhaanal-fardil-watr
Glory be to the Unique Single!
سُبْحَانَ الْعَظِيمِ الْأَعْظَمِ
subhaanal-'azeemil-a'zam
Glory be to the Greatest Great!
اللهُ أَ كْبَرُ اللهُ أَ كْبَرُ اسْتَوَى الرَّبُّ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ
allaahu akbar allaahu akbar istawar-rabbu 'alal-'arsh
Allah is the Most Great, Allah is the Most great, The Lord sat on the Throne,
وَ قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ بِحِكْمَتِهِ
wa qaamatis-samaawaatu wal-ardu bi-hikmatih
and His Command established the heavens and the earth.
وَ زَهَرَتِ النُّجُومُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَ رَسَتِ الْجِبَالُ بِإِذْنِهِ
wa zaharatin-nujoomu bi-amrihee wa rasatil-jibaalu bi-idhnih
The stars were stilled, and the mountains were fixed firmly by His permission.
لَا يُجَاوِزُ اسْمُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ
laa yujaawizu ismahoo man fis-samaawaati wal-ard
His name does not pass by those in the heavens and the earth.
الَّذِي دَانَتْ لَهُ الْجِبَالُ وَ هِيَ طَائِعَةٌ
alladhee daanat lahul-jibaalu wa hiya taa'i'ah
The mountains draw near Him, obedient,
وَ انْبَعَثَتْ لَهُ الْأَجْسَادُ وَ هِيَ بَالِيَةٌ
wanba'athat lahul-ajsaadu wa hiya baaliyah
and the bodies are resurrected for Him when they are rotten.
وَ بِهِ أَحْتَجِبُ [احْتَجَبْتُ] بِاللهِ الَّذِي عَنْ كُلِّ غَاوٍ وَ بَاغٍ وَ طَاغٍ وَ جَبَّارٍ وَ حَاسِدٍ
wa bihee ahtajibu bil-laahil-ladhee 'an kulli ghaawiw-wa baaghiw-wa taaghiw-wa jabbaariw-wa haasid
Veil every harmful thing and envious One by the Might of Allah from so-and-so, son of so-and-so,
وَ بِاسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ
wa bismil-laahil-ladhee ja'ala bihee baynal-bahrayn
by the One who placed a partition between the two seas;
[حاجِزاً وَ أَحْتَجِبُ [احْتَجَبْتُ بِاللهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّماءِ بُرُوجاً
haajizaa, wa ahtajibu bil-laahil-ladhee ja'ala fees-samaa'i buroojaa
and set in heaven constellations,
وَ جَعَلَ فِيها سِراجاً وَ قَمَراً مُنِيراً
wa ja'ala feehaa siraajaw-wa qamaram-muneeraa
and set a lamp and an illuminating moon among them.
وَ زَيَّنَهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ وَ حَفِظَهَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطانٍ رَجِيمٍ
wa zayyanahaa lin-naazireena wa hafizahaa min kulli shaytaanir-rajeem
I seek protection for him in the One who decked them out fair to the beholders and guarded them against every accursed demon.
وَ جَعَلَ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ جِبِالًا أَوْتَاداً
wa ja'ala feel-ardi rawaasiya jibaalan awtaadaa
I seek protection for him in the One who set firm mountains and pegs in the earth,
أَنْ يُوصَلَ إِلَيَّ سُوءٌ أَوْ فَاحِشَةٌ أَوْ بَلِيَّةٌ
ay-yoosala ilayya soo'un aw faahishatun aw baliyyah
lest evil, indecency, or affliction should get to him.
حم تَنْزِيلٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
haa-meem, tanzeelum-minar-rahmaanir-raheem
'Ha Mim' a revelation from the Merciful, the Compassionate
عسق كَذلِكَ يُوحِي إِلَيْكَ وَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ
'ayn-seen-qaaf, kadhaalika yoohee ilayka wa ilal-ladheena min qablik
So reveals to You, and those before You,
اللهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
allaahul-'azeezul-hakeem
God, the All-mighty, the All-wise.
وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً
wa sallal-laahu 'alaa muhammadiw-wa aali muhammadinw-wa sallama tasleemaa
Blessings of Allah upon Muhammad, the Prophet, and his family.
Two rakat Salat on Sunday when sun has reached some height (late morning)
In the first rakat after Surah Hamd recite Surah Kauther thrice x3
and in the second rakat after Surah Hamd recite Surah Tawheed thrice x3
(If one recites this prayer he is free from hellfire and purified of hypocrisy. There is great reward for this prayer.)
Four Rakat
in each rakat after Surah Hamd recites Surah Mulk
(Almighty will give him a place of his choice in Paradise.)
Six rakat - Sunday evening
in each rakat after Surah Hamd he should recite Surah Tawheed seven times.
(There is inestimable reward for this prayer.)
سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
subhaanaka rabbanaa wa lakal-hamd
All praise be to You, our Lord; to You belong the praise.
أَنْتَ اللهُ الْقَائِمُ عَلَى عَرْشِكَ
antal-laahul-qaa'imu 'alaa 'arshik
You are Allah, the bearer of Your Throne forever.
أَبَداً أَحَاطَ بَصَرُكَ بِجَمِيعِ الْخَلْقِ
abadan ahaata basaruka bi-jamee'il-khalq
You have encompassed the perceptiveness of every creature.
وَ الْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عَلَى الْفَنَاءِ
wal-khalqu kulluhum 'alal-fanaa'
And all creatures are upon annihilation;
وَ أَنْتَ الْبَاقِي الْكَرِيمُ الْقَائِمُ الدَّائِمُ بَعْدَ فَنَاءِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
wa antal-baaqil-kareemul-qaa'imud-daa'imu ba'da fanaa'i kulli shay'
You are the Eternal, the All generous, the Existing, and the Everlasting, which subsists after annihilating all things.
الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِكَ مَلَكُوتُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ وَ دَهْرُ الدَّاهِرِينَ
al-hayyul-ladhee laa yamootu bi-yadika malakootus-samaawaati wal-ardi wa dahrud-daahireen
The Everlasting Whom shall not perish; The One in Whose control is the kingdom of the heavens and earth eternally.
أَنْتَ الَّذِي قَصَمْتَ بِصَوْتِكَ الْجَبَّارِينَ
antalladhee qasamta bi-sawtikal-jabbaareen
You are the one who demolished the unjust ones by Your voice!
وَ أَضَفْتَ فِي قَبْضَتِكَ الْأَرَضِينَ
wa adafta fee qabdatikal-aradeen
Added the earth in Your grasp
وَ أَغْشَيْتَ بِضَوْءِ نُورِكَ النَّاظِرِينَ
wa aghshayta bi-daw'i noorikan-naazireen
and covered with Your illumination light beholders' eyes.
وَ أَشْبَعْتَ بِفَضْلِ رِزْقِكَ الْآكِلِينَ
wa ashba'ta bi-fadli rizqikal-aakileen
You fulfilled by Your favor; livelihood the eaters
وَ عَلَوْتَ بِعَرْشِكَ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
wa 'alawta bi-'arshika 'alal-'aalameen
and elevated Your throne upon worlds.
وَ أَعْمَرْتَ سَمَاوَاتِكَ بِالْمَلَائِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
wa a'marta samaawaatika bil-malaa'ikatil-muqarrabeen
You made the heavens inhabited by The nearest angels
وَ عَلَّمْتَ تَسْبِيحَكَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ
wa 'allamta tasbeehakal-awwaleena wal-aakhireen
and teach Your glorifying; for the early generations and last.
وَ انْقَادَتْ لَكَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةُ بِأِزمَّتِهَا
wanqaadat lakad-dunyaa wal-aakhiratu bi-azimmatihaa
The here and hereafter submitted its leashes for You,
[ وَ حَفِظْتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ [وَ الْأَرْضَ
wa hafiztas-samaawaati wal-arda
kept the heavens and earth keys,
وَ الْأَرَضِينَ بِمَقَالِيدِهَا وَ أَذْعَنَتْ لَكَ بِالطَّاعَةِ
wal-aradeena bi-maqaaleedihaa wa adh'anat laka bit-taa'ah
and submitted to You with obeying with things above it too!
وَ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا وَ أَبَتْ حَمْلَ الْأَمَانَةِ مِنْ شَفَقَتِهَا
wa min fawqihaa wa abat hamlal-amaanati min shafaqatihaa
And refused to bear the Trust out of the compassion,
وَ قَامَتْ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ فِي قَرَارِهَا
wa qaamat bi-kalimaatika fee qaraarihaa
and stood solid with Your words
وَ اسْتَقَامَ الْبَحْرَانِ مَكَانَهُمَا
wastaqaamal-bahraani makaanahumaa
and the seas sat straight on its places.
وَ اخْتَلَفَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ كَمَا أَمَرْتَهُمَا
wakhtalafal-laylu wan-nahaaru kamaa amartahumaa
The night and day opposed each other as You commanded them
وَ أَحْصَيْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فِيهِمَا عَدَداً
wa ahsayta kulla shay'in feehimaa 'adadaa
and You who has counted in it everything in numbers.
وَ أَحَطْتَ بِهِمَا عِلْماً خَالِقَ الْخَلْقِ
wa ahatta bihimaa 'ilman khaaliqal-khalq
And You encompassed it with knowledge, the Creator of creatures;
وَ مُصْطَفِيَهُ وَ مُهَيْمِنَهُ وَ مُنْشِيَهً [وَ بَارِيَهُ] وَ ذَارِيَهُ
wa mustafiyahoo wa muhayminahoo wa munshi'ahoo wa baari'ahoo wa dhaariyah
who are chosen one, ruling upon, thems Creator and strew,
كُنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ إِلَهاً
kunta wahdaka laa shareeka laka ilaahan
You were and only You without a partner.
وَاحِداً وَ كَانَ عَرْشُكَ عَلَى الْمَاءِ
waahidaw-wa kaana 'arshuka 'alal-maa'
One God and Your throne were above the water
مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَكُونَ أَرْضٌ وَ لَا سَمَاءٌ
min qabli an takoona ardunw-wa laa samaa'
before the being of the earth, heavens,
أَوْ شَيْءٌ مِمَّا خَلَقْتَ فِيهَا
aw shay'um-mimmaa khalaqta feehaa
or anything out of your creation!
بِعِزَّتِكَ كُنْتَ قَدِيماً بَدِيعاً مُبْتَدِعاً كَيْنُوناً
bi-'izzatika kunta qadeeman badee'am-mubtadi'an kaynoonan
By Your might, You were the sempiternal, splendid, creative entity,
كَائِناً مُكَوِّناً كَمَا سَمَّيْتَ نَفْسَكَ ابْتَدَعْتَ
kaa'inam-mukawwinan kamaa sammayta nafsakab-tada'ta
exists and Creator as You named Yourself!
الْخَلْقَ بِعَظَمَتِكَ وَ دَبَّرْتَ أُمُورَهُمْ بِعِلْمِكَ
al-khalqa bi-'azamatika wa dabbarta umoorahum bi-'ilmik
You originated the creation with Your mightiness and governed their matters with Your knowledge.
فَكَانَ عَظِيمُ مَا ابْتَدَعْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
fa-kaana 'azeemu mab-tada'ta min khalqik
Therefore the greatness of Your creation
وَ قَدَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَمْرِكَ عَلَيْكَ
wa qadarta 'alayhi min amrika 'alayk
and Your ability is from Your command upon them;
هَيِّناً يَسِيراً لَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ ظَهِيرٌ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ
hayyinan yaseeran lam yakul-laka zaheerun 'alaa khalqik
easy and gradual! You didn't need an aid upon Your creation,
وَ لَا مُعِينٌ عَلَى حِفْظِكَ وَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ فِي مُلْكِكَ
wa laa mu'eenun 'alaa hifzika wa laa shareeka laka fee mulkik
no help on Your custody, no partner in Your kingdom,
وَ كُنْتَ رَبَّنَا تَبَارَكَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ
wa kunta rabbanaa tabaarakat asmaa'uk
and You were our God; glorified are your names
وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ عَلِيّاً غَنِيّاً
wa jalla thanaa'uka 'alaa dhaalika 'aliyyan ghaniyyaa
and splendid be the praising of You upon this the highest and free of need!
فَإِنَّمَا أَمَرَكَ لِشَيْءٍ إِذَا أَرَدْتَهُ
fa-innamaa amruka li-shay'in idhaa aradtah
Indeed; so Your order to something you want
أَنْ تَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
an taqoola lahoo kun fa-yakoon
is only that You say to it, "Be," and it is;
لَا يُخَالِفُ شَيْءٌ مِنْهُ مَحَبَّتَكَ فَسُبْحَانَكَ
laa yukhaalifu shay'um-minhu mahabbataka fa-subhaanak
none of would contradict your love! So; Glory be to You
وَ بِحَمْدِكَ وَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
wa bi-hamdika wa tabaarakta rabbanaa wa jalla thanaa'uk
and praise, blessed You are our God, splendid be the praising of You
وَ تَعَالَيْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً
wa ta'aalayta 'alaa dhaalika 'uluwwan kabeeraa
and exalted high indeed above all that!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ
allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin 'abdika wa rasoolik
O Allah, (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad, Your servant
وَ نَبِيِّكَ وَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
wa nabiyyika wa 'alaa ahli baytih
and Messenger, Your Prophet and His Household.
كَمَا سَبَقَتْ إِلَيْنَا بِهِ رَحْمَتُكَ
kamaa sabaqat ilaynaa bihee rahmatuk
As; You surpassed to us by him Your mercy,
وَ قَرُبَ إِلَيْنَا بِهِ هُدَاكَ وَ أَوْرَثْتَنَا بِهِ كِتَابَكَ
wa qaruba ilaynaa bihee hudaaka wa awrathtanaa bihee kitaabak
lead on us by him Your guidance, inherited us by him Your Book
وَ دَلَلْتَنَا بِهِ عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ
wa dalaltanaa bihee 'alaa taa'atik
and directed us by him on Your obeying!
فَأَصْبَحْنَا مُبْصِرِينَ بِنُورِ الْهُدَى الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ
fa-asbahnaa mubsideena bi-nooril-hudal-ladhee jaa'a bih
So we become subtle upon the light of guidance that he bought to us,
ظَاهِرِين بِعِزِّ الدِّينِ الَّذِي دَعَا إِلَيْهِ
zaahireena bi-'izzid-deenil-ladhee da'aa ilayh
standing by the superiority of the religion that he invited to
نَاجِينَ بِحُجَجِ الْكِتَابِ الَّذِي نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ
naajeena bi-hujajil-kitaabil-ladhee nazala 'alayh
and rescued by The Book (Quran) proofs revealed upon him.
اللَّهُمَّ فَآثَرَهُ بِقُرْبِ الْمَجْلِسِ مِنْكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
allaahumma fa-aathirhu bi-qurbil-majlisi minka yawmal-qiyaamah
O, Lord, so favor him with the nearest place beside You on the Day of Resurrection!
وَ أَكْرَمَهُ بِتَمْكِينِ الشَّفَاعَاتِ عِنْدَكَ
wa akrimhu bi-tamkeenish-shafaa'aati 'indak
Dignify him with the accepted enablement intercession to You;
تَفْضِيلًا مِنْكَ لَهُ عَلَى الْفَاضِلِينَ
tafdeelam-minka lahoo 'alal-faadileen
excellence from You upon the righteousness
وَ تَشْرِيفاً مِنْكَ لَهُ عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ
wa tashreefam-minka lahoo 'alal-muttaqeen
and solemnity from You upon the god-fearing!
اللَّهُمَّ وَ امْنَحْنَا مِنْ شَفَاعَتِهِ نَصِيباً نَرِدُ بِهِ
allaahumma wam-nahnaa min shafaa'atihee naseeban naridu bih
O, Lord, grant us from his intercession a share that; will acquaint us
مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ جِنَانَهُ وَ نَنْزِلُ بِهِ مَعَ الْآمِنِينَ
ma'as-saadiqeena jinaanahoo wa nanzilu bihee ma'al-aamineen
with the sincere to His heavens and with the secure in His spacious gardens;
فُسْحَةَ رِيَاضِهِ غَيْرَ مَرْفُوضِينَ عَنْ دَعْوَتِهِ
fus-hata riyaadihi ghayra marfoodeena 'an da'watih
Not dismissed from his invite,
وَ لَا مَرْدُودِينَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ مَا بَعَثْتَهُ بِهِ
wa laa mardoodeena 'an sabeeli maa ba'athtahoo bih
apostate from the way that You sent him with,
وَ لَا مَحْجُوبَةٍ عَنَّا مُرَافَقَتُهُ وَ لَا مَحْظُورَةٍ عَنَّا دَارُهُ
wa laa mahjoobatan 'annaa muraafaqatuhoo wa laa mahzooratan 'annaa daaruh
his company is veiled nor forbidden his home on us,
آمِينَ إِلَهَ الْحَقِّ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
aameena ilaahal-haqqi rabbal-'aalameen
may it be so, O, Allah of Truth; Lord of the worlds!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadiw-wa aali muhammad
O, Allah, (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and His Household,
وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي
wa as-aluka bismikal-'azeemil-ladhee
O, Allah! I beseech You through Your great Name;
لَا يَعْلَمُهُ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكَ
laa ya'lamuhoo ahadun ghayruk
that is not known to anybody except you,
وَ الَّذِي سَخَّرْتَ بِهِ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهَارَ
wal-ladhee sakh-kharta bihil-layla wan-nahaar
which subdued with the night and day,
وَ أَجْرَيْتَ بِهِ الشَّمْسَ وَ الْقَمَرَ وَ النُّجُومَ
wa ajrayta bihish-shamsa wal-qamara wan-nujoom
which moved smoothly by it the sun, moon, and stars,
وَ بِهِ أَنْشَأْتَ السَّحَابَ وَ الْمَطَرَ وَ الرِّيَاحَ
wa bihee ansha'tas-sahaaba wal-matara war-riyaah
by which the clouds, rain, and the wind is done,
وَ الَّذِي بِهِ تُنَزْلُ الْغَيْثَ وَ تَذْرَأُ الْمَرْعَى
wal-ladhee bihee tunzilul-ghaytha wa tadhra'ul-mar'aa
by that which You make the rainfall and multiply the pasture;
وَ تُحْيِي الْعِظامَ وَ هِيَ رَمِيمٌ
wa tuhyil-'izaama wa hiya rameem
enliven the bones when they are decayed,
وَ الَّذِي بِهِ تَرْزُقُ مَنْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ
wal-ladhee bihee tarzuqu man feel-barri wal-bahr
by that which You endow who are in lands and seas;
وَ تَكْلَؤُهُمْ [وَ تَرْعَاهُمْ] وَ تَحْفَظُهُمْ
wa takla'uhum wa tar'aahum wa tahfazuhum
look after (safeguard) and protect them,
وَ الَّذِي هُوَ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْإِنْجِيلِ وَ الزَّبُورِ
wal-ladhee huwa feet-tawraati wal-injeeli waz-zaboor
by the Taurat, Injeel, Zabur,
وَ الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ الَّذِي فَلَقْتَ بِهِ الْبَحْرَ لِمُوسَى
wal-qur'aanil-'azeem, wal-ladhee falaqta bihil-bahra li-moosaa
and the Holy Quran where it is in, You caused the sea to cleave asunder for Moses
وَ أَسْرَيْتَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
wa asrayta bi-muhammadin sallal-laahu 'alayhi wa aalih
and the midnight journey to the seven heavens by Muhammed; God bless him and his Household.
وَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ لَكَ مَخْزُونٍ وَ مَكْنُونٍ
wa bi-kullis-min laka makhzooniw-wa maknoon
And by every name that is saved and well protected,
وَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ دَعَاكَ بِهِ مَلَكٌ مُقَرَّبٌ
wa bi-kullis-min da'aaka bihee malakum-muqarrab
by everyone who did beseech You by your name; every brought near angels
أَوْ نَبِيٌّ مُرْسَلٌ أَوْ عَبْدٌ مُصْطَفًى
aw nabiyyum-mursalun aw 'abdum-mustafaa
or sent Prophet or chosen servant.
أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
an tusalliya 'alaa muhammadiw-wa aali muhammad
Do send Your blessings upon Mohammad and His Household,
وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ رَاحَتِي فِي لِقَائِكَ
wa an taj'ala raahatee fee liqaa'ik
make my relief in Your meeting,
وَ خَاتِمَ عَمَلِي فِي سَبِيلِكَ وَ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ
wa khaatima 'amalee fee sabeelika wa hajji baytikal-haraam
the seal for my deeds is toward You, the grace of pilgrimage to Your Holy House,
وَ اخْتِلَافٍ إِلَى مَسَاجِدِكَ وَ مَجَالِسِ الذِّكْرِ
wakhtilaafin ilaa masaajidika wa majaalisidh-dhikr
follow Your mosques and gatherings in which Allah's name is being invoked,
وَ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ أَيَّامِي يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ
waj'al khayra ayyaamee yawma alqaak
and make my best day is Your meeting day!
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadiw-wa aali muhammad
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad, and His Household
وَ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِي
wahfaznee mim-bayni yadayya wa min khalfee
protects me; before and behind me,
وَ عَنْ يَمِينِي وَ عَنْ شِمَالِي وَ مِنْ فَوْقِي وَ مِنْ تَحْتِي
wa 'ay-yameenee wa 'an shimaalee wa min fawqee wa min tahtee
my right and left, above and below;
أَسْفَلَ مِنِّي وَ احْفَظْنِي مِنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ
asfala minnee wahfaznee minas-sayyi'aat
beneath me! Protect me from the sins,
وَ مَحَارِمِكَ كُلِّهَا
wa mahaarimika kullihaa
and your all forbidden.
وَ مَكِّنْ لِي فِي دِينِي الَّذِي ارْتَضَيْتَ لِي
wa makkin lee fee deeniyal-ladheertadayta lee
And strength in my religion what You; accepted for me,
[ وَ فَهِّمْنِي فِيهِ وَ اجْعَلْهُ لِي نُوراً [وَ بِشْراً
wa fahhimnee feehi waj'alhu lee nooraw-wa bishraa
apprehend me in it, make it a light (good omen)
وَ يَسِّرْ لِيَ الْيُسْرَ وَ الْعَافِيَةَ وَ اعْزِمْ عَلَى رُشْدِي
wa yassir liyal-yusra wal-'aafiyata wa'zim 'alaa rushdee
and ease for me the solvency and well-being.
كَمَا عَزَمْتَ عَلَى خَلْقِي وَ أَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِي بِبِرٍّ
kamaa 'azamta 'alaa khalqee wa a'innee 'alaa nafsee bi-birriw
Determine my consciousness; as You determined my creation. Help me against myself with;
وَ تَقْوَى وَ عَمَلٍ رَاجِحٍ وَ بَيْعٍ رَابِحٍ
wa taqwaa wa 'amalin raajihiw-wa bay'ir-raabih
God-fearing, faithfulness, accepted deed, gainer selling,
وَ تِجَارَةٍ لَنْ تَبُورَ
wa tijaaratil-lan taboor
and commerce that comes not to naught.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَ مَا قَرُبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ
allaahumma innee as-alukal-jannata wa maa qarraba ilayhaa min qawlin aw 'amal
O, Allah, I beseech You for heaven, and what a saying or work can make me near to it.
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خَوْنِ الْأَمَانَةِ
wa a'oodhu bika min khawnil-amaanah
I seek refuge in You from; betraying the Trust,
وَ أَكْلِ أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ
wa akli amwaalin-naasi bil-baatil
devouring others property unjustly,
وَ مِنَ التَّزَيُّنِ بِمَا لَيْسَ فِيَّ
wa minat-tazayyuni bimaa laysa fiyy
refinding myself with what I don't own,
وَ مِنَ الْآثَامِ وَ الْبَغْيِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ
wa minal-aathaami wal-baghyi bi-ghayril-haqqi wa an ushrika bik
sins and tyranny without righteousness, and associate with You;
مَا لَمْ تُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَاناً
maa lam tunazzil bihee sultaanaa
whom You didn't consider a dominion!
وَ أَجِرْنِي مِنْ مَضَلَّاتِ الْفِتَنِ ما ظَهَرَ مِنْها
wa ajirnee mim-madillaatil-fitani maa zahara minhaa
Please take me away from mischief and deviations,
وَ ما بَطَنَ وَ مِنْ مُحِيطَاتِ الْخَطَايَا
wa maa batana wa mim-muheetaatil-khataayaa
whether open or secret, and the enormous sins!
وَ نَجِّنِي مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ
wa najjinee minaz-zulumaati ilan-noor
Rescue me from the darkness to the light.
وَ اهْدِنِي سَبِيلَ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ اكْسُنِي حُلَلَ الْإِيمَانِ
wahdinee sabeelal-islaami waksunee hulalal-eemaan
Guide me to the Islam path, drape us with robes of faithfulness,
وَ أَلْبِسْنِي لِبَاسَ التَّقْوَى
wa albisnee libaasat-taqwaa
veil us with apparel of piety,
وَ اسْتُرْنِي بِسِتْرٍ الصَّالِحِينَ
wasturnee bi-sitris-saaliheen
shield me with the righteous shield,
وَ زَيِّنِّي بِزِينَةِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
wa zayyinnee bi-zeenatil-mu'mineen
beautify me with the believers' ornament,
وَ ثَقِّلْ عَمَلِي فِي الْمِيزَانِ
wa thaqqil 'amalee feel-meezaan
load the balance with my deeds,
وَ أَلْقِنِي مِنْكَ بِرَوْحٍ وَ رَيْحَانٍ
wa alqinee minka bi-rawhiw-wa rayhaan
and meet me with Thy spirit and pleasant.
آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
aameena rabbal-'aalameen
May it be so, O Lord of the worlds,
وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً
wa sallal-laahu 'alaa muhammadiw-wa aalihee wa sallama tasleemaa
and blessings of Allah upon Muhammed and His Household and give them abundant peace!
