Dua of Sayeda Fatima (sa) after Zuhr Salaat

سُبْحَانَ ذِيْ الْعِزِّ الشَّامِخِ الْمُنِيْفِ

subhaana zil i’zzish shaamekhil moneefe

Glorified is the One possessing lofty and elevated honor.

سُبْحَانَ ذِيْ الْجَلَالِ الْبَاذِخِ الْعَظِيْمِ

subhaana zil jalaalil baazekhil a’zeeme

Glorified is the Owner of magnificent and supreme majesty.

سُبْحَانَ ذِيْ الْمُلْكِ الْفَاخِرِ الْقَدِيْمِ

subhaana zil mulkil faakheril qadeeme

Glorified is the Owner of the ancient and esteemed dominion.

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ بِنِعْمَتِهٖ بَلَغْتُ مَا بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ بِهٖ

wal hamdo lillaahil lazee be-ne’matehi balaghto maa balaghto menal i’lme behi

All praise is for Allah, by whose blessing I have attained what I have attained of knowledge of Him,

وَ الْعَمَلِ لَهُ وَ الرَّغْبَةِ اِلَيْهِ، وَ الطَّاعَةِ لِاَمْرِهٖ

wal a’male lahu war raghbate elayhe, wat taa-a’te le-amrehi

and deed for Him, longing towards Him, and obedience to His command.

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ لَمْ يَجْعَلْنِيْ جَاحِدًا لِشَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْ كِتَابِهٖ

wal hamdo lillaahil lazee lam yaj-a’lnee jaahedan le-shay-in min ketaabehi

All praise is for Allah, who did not make me a denier of anything from His Book,

وَ لَا مُتَحَيِّرًا فِيْ شَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْ اَمْرِهٖ

wa laa motahayyeran fee shay-in min amrehi

nor perplexed concerning anything of His affair.

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ هَدَانِيْ لِدِيْنِهٖ

wal hamdo lillaahil lazee hadaanee le-deenehi

All praise is for Allah, who guided me to His religion,

وَ لَمْ يَجْعَلْنِيْ اَعْبُدُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَهٗ

wa lam yaj-a’lnee a-a’bodo shay-an ghayrahu

and did not let me worship anything other than Him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ قَوْلَ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَ عَمَلَهُمْ

allaahumma innee as-aloka qawlat tawwaabeena wa a’malahum

O Allah, I ask of You the speech of the penitents and their deeds,

وَ نَجَاةَ الْمُجَاهِدِيْنَ وَ ثَوَابَهُمْ

wa najaatal mojaahedeena wa sawaabahum

the salvation of the strivers and their reward,

وَ تَصْدِيْقَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ تَوَكُّلَهُمْ

wa tasdeeqal moameneena wa tawakkolahum

the conviction of the faithful and their reliance,

وَ الرَّاحَةَ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ، وَ الْاَمْنَ عِنْدَ الْحِسَابِ

war raahata i’ndal mawte, wal amna i’ndal hesaabe

ease at the time of death, and peace and security during the accounting.

وَ اجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ خَيْرَ غَائِبٍ اَنْتَظِرُهٗ

waj a’lil mawta khayra ghaa-ebin antazerohu

Make death the best absent thing I await,

وَ خَيْرَ مُطَّلَعٍ يُطَّلَعُ عَلَيَّ

wa khayra motta-la-i’n yuttala-o’ a’layya

and the best scene to present itself before me.

وَ ارْزُقْنِيْ عِنْدَ حُضُوْرِ الْمَوْتِ، وَ عِنْدَ نُزُوْلِهٖ، وَ فِيْ غَمَرَاتِهٖ

war zuqnee i’nda hozooril mawte, wa i’nda nozoolehi, wa fee ghamaraatehi

Grant me—at the presence of death, at its descent, and during its agonies,

وَ حِيْنَ تَنْزِلُ النَّفْسُ مِنْ بَيْنِ التَّرَاقِيْ، وَ حِيْنَ تَبْلُغُ الْحُلْقُوْمُ

wa heena tanzelun nafso min baynit taraaqee, wa heena tabloghul hulqoomo

and when the breath sinks down from the collarbones, and when it reaches the throat,

وَ فِيْ حَالِ خُرُوْجِيْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا

wa fee haale khoroojee menad dunyaa

and at the time of my departure from this world,

وَ تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ الَّتِيْ لَا اَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِيْ فِيْهَا ضَرًّا وَ لَا نَفْعًا، وَ لَا شِدَّةً وَ لَا رَخَاءً

wa tilkas saa-a’til latee laa amleko le-nafsee feehaa zarran wa laa naf-a’n, wa laa shiddatan wa laa rakhaa-an

and at that hour in which I possess for myself neither harm nor benefit, neither hardship nor ease—

رَوْحًا مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَ حَظًّا مِنْ رِضْوَانِكَ وَ بُشْرًى مِنْ كَرَامَتِكَ

rawhan min rahmateka, wa hazzan min rizwaaneka wa bushran min karaamateka

comfort from Your mercy, a portion of Your good pleasure, and glad tidings from Your grace,

قَبْلَ اَنْ تَتَوَفّٰى نَفْسِيْ، وَ تَقْبِضَ رُوْحِيْ

qabla an tata-waffaa nafsee, wa taqbeza roohee

before You take my soul and seize my spirit,

وَ تُسَلِّطَ مَلَكَ الْمَوْتِ عَلٰى اِخْرَاجِ نَفْسِيْ

wa tosalleta malakal mawte a’laa ikhraaje nafsee

and give authority to the Angel of Death to draw out my soul.

وَ بِبُشْرًى مِنْكَ يَا رَبِّ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ اَحَدٍ غَيْرِكَ

wa be-bushran minka yaa rabbe laysat min ahadin ghayreka

And grant glad tidings from You, O Lord—not from anyone else—

تَثْلُجُ بِهَا صَدْرِيْ وَ تَسُرُّ بِهَا نَفْسِيْ

taslojo behaa sadree wa tasurro behaa nafsee

by which my chest is cooled, my soul is gladdened,

وَ تَقِرُّ بِهَا عَيْنِيْ، وَ يَتَهَلَّلُ بِهَا وَجْهِيْ

wa taqirro behaa a’ynee, wa yatahallalo behaa wajhee

my eyes find comfort, my face shines brightly,

وَ يَسْفُرُ بِهَا لَوْنِيْ، وَ يَطْمَئِنُّ بِهَا قَلْبِيْ

wa yasforo behaa lawnee, wa yat-ma-inno behaa qalbee

my complexion glows, my heart is reassured,

وَ يَتَبَاشَرُ بِهَا سَائِرُ جَسَدِيْ

wa yatabaasharo behaa saa-ero jasadee

and the rest of my whole body rejoices.

يَغْبِطُنِيْ بِهَا مَنْ حَضَرَنِيْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

yaghbetonee behaa man hazaranee min khalqeka

Through which whoever of Your creation attends me feels envious joy,

وَ مَنْ سَمِعَ بِيْ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ

wa man same-a’ bee min e’baadeka

as well as whoever among Your servants hears of me.

تُهَوِّنُ بِهَا عَلَيَّ سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ

tohawweno behaa a’layya sakaraatil mawte

Through it, ease for me the throes of death,

وَ تُفَرِّجُ عَنِّيْ بِهَا كُرْبَتَهٗ وَ تُخَفِّفُ بِهَا عَنِّيْ شِدَّتَهٗ

wa tofarrejo a’nnee behaa kurbatahu wa tokhaffefo behaa a’nnee shiddatahu

relieve me through it of its distress, and lighten for me its severity;

وَ تَكْشِفُ عَنِّيْ بِهَا سُقْمَهٗ، وَ تُذْهِبُ عَنِّيْ بِهَا هَمَّهٗ وَ حَسْرَتَهٗ

wa takshefo a’nnee behaa suqmahu, wa tuzhebo a’nnee behaa hammahu wa hasratahu

dispel from me its illness, remove through it its anxiety and anguish,

وَ تَعْصِمُنِيْ بِهَا مِنْ اَسَفِهٖ وَ فِتَنِهٖ

wa ta’semonee behaa min asafehi wa fetanehi

protect me through it from its grief and temptations,

وَ تُجِيْرُنِيْ بِهَا مِنْ شَرِّهٖ وَ شَرِّ مَا يَحْضُرُ اَهْلُهٗ

wa tojeeronee behaa min sharrehi wa sharre maa yahzoro ahlohu

shield me through it from its evil and the evil that attends its people,

وَ تَرْزُقُنِيْ بِهَا خَيْرَهٗ وَ خَيْرَ مَا يَحْضُرُ عِنْدَهٗ وَ خَيْرَ مَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ بَعْدَهٗ

wa tarzoqonee behaa khayrahu wa khayra maa yahzoro i’ndahu wa khayra maa howa kaa-enun ba’dahu

and bestow on me through it its good, the good that attends it, and the good that comes after it.

ثُمَّ اِذَا تُوُفِّيَتْ نَفْسِيْ وَ قُبِضَتْ رُوْحِيْ

summa ezaa towuffeyat nafsee wa qobezat roohee

Then, when my soul is taken and my spirit is grasped,

فَاجْعَلْ رُوْحِيْ فِيْ الْاَرْوَاحِ الرَّائِـحَةِ

faj-a’l roohee fil arwaahir raa-ehate

place my spirit among the tranquil and restful spirits,

وَ اجْعَلْ نَفْسِيْ فِيْ الْاَنْفُسِ الصَّالِحَةِ

waj a’l nafsee fil anfosis saalehate

place my soul among the righteous souls,

وَ اجْعَلْ جَسَدِيْ فِيْ الْاَجْسَادِ الْمُطَهَّرَةِ

waj a’l jasadee fil ajsaadil motahharate

place my body among the purified bodies,

وَ اجْعَلْ عَمَلِيْ فِيْ الْاَعْمَالِ الْمُتَقَبَّلَةِ

waj a’l a’malee fil a-a’maalil motaqabbalate

and place my deeds among the accepted deeds.

ثُمَّ ارْزُقْنِيْ فِيْ خِطَّتِيْ مِنَ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَوْضِعَ جُنَّتِيْ

summar zuqnee fee khittatee menal arze wa maw-ze-a’ junnatee

Then grant me—in my designated plot of earth and place of burial—

حَيْثُ يُرْفَتُ لَحْمِيْ، وَ يُدْفَنُ عَظْمِيْ

hayso yurfato lahmee, wa yudfano a’zmee

where my flesh disintegrates and my bones are buried,

وَ اُتْرَكُ وَحِيْدًا لَا حِيْلَةَ لِيْ

wa utrako waheedan laa heelata lee

and I am left alone, possessing no recourse;

قَدْ لَفَظَتْنِيْ الْبِلَادُ، وَ تَخَلَّا مِنِّيْ الْعِبَادُ

qad lafazatnil belaado, wa takhallaa minnil e’baado

cast out by the towns and deserted by fellow beings,

وَ افْتَقَرْتُ اِلٰى رَحْمَتِكَ وَ احْتَجْتُ اِلٰى صَالِحِ عَمَلِيْ

waf taqarto elaa rahmateka wah tajto elaa saalehe a’malee

in desperate need of Your mercy and in need of my righteous deeds,

وَ اَلْقٰى مَا مَهَّدْتُ لِنَفْسِيْ وَ قَدَّمْتُ لِاٰخِرَتِيْ، وَ عَمِلْتُ فِيْ اَيَّامِ حَيَاتِيْ

wa alqaa maa mahhadto le-nafsee wa qaddamto le-aakheratee, wa a’milto fee ayyaame hayaatee

and encountering what I prepared for myself, sent forth for my hereafter, and performed in the days of my life—

فَوْزًا مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَ ضِيَاءً مِنْ نُوْرِكَ

fawzan min rahmateka, wa zeyaa-an min nooreka

triumph from Your mercy, brilliance from Your light,

وَ تَثْبِيْتًا مِنْ كَرَامَتِكَ، بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِيْ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْاٰخِرَةِ

wa tasbeetan min karaamateka, bil-qawlis saabete fil hayaatid dunyaa wal aakherate

and steadfastness from Your bounty, through the steadfast word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter;

اِنَّكَ تُضِلُّ الظَّالِمِيْنَ وَ تَفْعَلُ مَا تَشَاءُ

innaka tozilluz zaalemeena wa taf-a’lo maa tashaa-o

verily, You leave the wrongdoers astray, and You do whatever You will.

ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِيْ فِيْ الْبَعْثِ وَ الْحِسَابِ

summa baarik lee fil ba’se wal hesaabe

Then bless me in the resurrection and the accounting,

اِذَا انْشَقَّتِ الْاَرْضُ عَنِّيْ وَ تَخَلَّا الْعِبَادُ مِنِّيْ

ezan shaqqatil arzo a’nnee wa takhallal e’baado minnee

when the earth is split open away from me and people abandon me,

وَ غَشِيَتْنِيْ الصَّيْحَةُ، وَ اَفْزَعَتْنِيْ النَّفْخَةُ

wa ghasheyatnis sayhato, wa afza-a’tnin naf-khato

and the great cry overwhelms me, and the blast of the trumpet terrifies me,

وَ نَشَرْتَنِيْ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَ بَعَثْتَنِيْ لِلْحِسَابِ

wa nashartanee ba’dal mawte wa ba-a’stanee lil-hesaabe

and You resurrect me after death and raise me up for the Reckoning.

فَابْعَثْ مَعِيْ يَا رَبِّ نُوْرًا مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

fab-a’s ma-e’e yaa rabbe nooran min rahmateka

Send forth with me, O Lord, a light from Your mercy,

يَسْعٰى بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ وَ عَنْ يَمِيْنِيْ

yas-a’a bayna yadayya wa a’n yameenee

shining and racing before me and on my right side,

تُؤْمِنُنِيْ بِهٖ، وَ تَرْبِطُ بِهٖ عَلٰى قَلْبِيْ

toamenonee behi, wa tarbeto behi a’laa qalbee

whereby You grant me safety and brace my heart,

وَ تُظْهِرُ بِهٖ عُذْرِيْ، وَ تُبَيِّضُ بِهٖ وَجْهِيْ

wa tuzhero behi u’zree, wa tobayyezo behi wajhee

make manifest through it my plea, brighten my face through it,

وَ تُصَدِّقُ بِهٖ حَدِيْثِيْ، وَ تُفْلِجُ بِهٖ حُجَّتِيْ

wa tosaddeqo behi hadeesee, wa tuflejo behi hujjatee

validate my words through it, make my proof victorious through it,

وَ تُبَلِّغُنِيْ بِهِ الْعُرْوَةَ الْقُصْوٰى مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

wa toballeghonee behil u’rwatal quswaa min rahmateka

lead me through it to the most ultimate hold of Your mercy,

وَ تُحِلُّنِيْ الدَّرَجَةَ الْعُلْيَا مِنْ جَنَّتِكَ

wa tohillonid darajatal u’lyaa min jannateka

and settle me in the highest station of Your Paradise.

وَ تَرْزُقُنِيْ بِهٖ مُرَافَقَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُوْلِكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِہٖ

wa tarzoqonee behi moraafaqata mohammadenin nabiyye a’bdeka wa rasooleka sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi

Grant me through it the companionship of the Prophet Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger—blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny—

فِيْ اَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ دَرَجَةً، وَ اَبْلَغِهَا فَضِيْلَةً

fee a-a’lal jannate darajatan, wa ablaghehaa fazeelatan

in the highest tier of Paradise, its most supreme excellence,

وَ اَبَرِّهَا عَطِيَّةً، وَ اَرْفَعِهَا نَفْسَةً

wa abarrehaa a’tiyyatan, wa arfa-e’haa nafsatan

its most generous bestowal, and its most elevated nobility,

مَعَ الَّذِيْنَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الصِّدِّيْقِيْنَ وَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

ma-a’l lazeena an-a’mta a’layhim menan nabiyyeena was siddeeqeena wash shohadaa-e was saaleheena

together with those whom You have blessed among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous,

وَ حَسُنَ اُوْلٰئِكَ رَفِيْقًا

wa hasona oolaa-eka rafeeqan

and excellent are those as companions.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin khaatamin nabiyyeena

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets,

وَ عَلٰى جَمِيْعِ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ وَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

wa a’laa jamee-i’l anbeyaa-e wal mursaleena

and upon all the prophets and messengers,

وَ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ

wa a’lal malaa-ekate ajma-e’ena

and upon all the angels collectively,

وَ عَلٰى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

wa a’laa aalehit tayyebeenattaahereena

and upon his good and pure progeny,

وَ عَلٰى اَئِمَّةِ الْهُدٰى اَجْمَعِيْنَ، اٰمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

wa a’laa a-immatil hodaa ajma-e’ena, aameena rabbal a’alameena

and upon all the Imams of guidance, Amen, O Lord of the worlds.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا هَدَيْتَنَا بِهٖ

allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa hadaytanaa behi

O Allah, bless Muhammad just as You guided us through him,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا رَحِمْتَنَا بِهٖ

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa rahimtanaa behi

and bless Muhammad just as You showed mercy to us through him,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا عَزَّزْتَنَا بِهٖ

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa a’zzaztanaa behi

and bless Muhammad just as You honored us through him,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا فَضَّلْتَنَا بِهٖ

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa fazzaltanaa behi

and bless Muhammad just as You favored us through him,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا شَرَّفْتَنَا بِهٖ

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa sharraftanaa behi

and bless Muhammad just as You ennobled us through him,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا نَصَرْتَنَا بِهٖ

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa nasartanaa behi

and bless Muhammad just as You aided us through him,

وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا اَنْقَذْتَنَا بِهٖ مِنْ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa anqaztanaa behi min shafaa hufratin menan naare

and bless Muhammad just as You rescued us through him from the brink of a pit of Fire.

اَللّٰهُمَّ بَيِّضْ وَجْهَهٗ، وَ اَعْلِ كَعْبَهٗ

allaahumma bayyiz wajhahu, wa a-a’le ka’bahu

O Allah, whiten his face, elevate his prominence,

وَ اَفْلِجْ حُجَّتَهٗ، وَ اَتْمِمْ نُوْرَهٗ

wa aflij hujjatahu, wa atmim noorahu

grant triumph to his proof, make complete his light,

وَ ثَقِّلْ مِيْزَانَهٗ، وَ عَظِّمْ بُرْهَانَهٗ

wa saqqil meezaanahu, wa a’zzim burhaanahu

make heavy his balance, magnify his testimony,

وَ افْسَحْ لَهٗ حَتّٰى يَرْضٰى

waf sah lahu hattaa yarzaa

expand for him until he is well pleased,

وَ بَلِّغْهُ الدَّرَجَةَ وَ الْوَسِيْلَةَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ

wa ballighhud darajata wal waseelata menal jannate

and deliver him to the high rank and the mediation in Paradise;

وَ ابْعَثْهُ الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ الَّذِيْ وَعَدْتَهٗ

wab a’shul maqaamal mahmoodal lazee wa-a’dtahu

and raise him to the Praised Station that You promised him,

وَ اجْعَلْهُ اَفْضَلَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلَةً وَ وَسِيْلَةً

waj a’lho afzalan nabiyyeena wal mursaleena i’ndaka manzelatan wa waseelatan

and make him the foremost of the prophets and messengers in status and intercession before You.

وَ اقْصُصْ بِنَا اَثَرَهٗ، وَ اسْقِنَا بِكَاْسِهٖ

waq sus benaa asarahu, was qenaa bekaasehi

Make us follow in his footsteps, give us drink from his cup,

وَ اَوْرِدْنَا حَوْضَهٗ، وَ احْشُرْنَا فِيْ زُمْرَتِهٖ

wa awridnaa hawzahu, wah shurnaa fee zumratehi

bring us to his basin (Hawd), assemble us among his company,

وَ تَوَفَّنَا عَلٰى مِلَّتِهٖ، وَ اسْلُكْ بِنَا سُبُلَهٗ

wa tawaffanaa a’laa millatehi, was luk benaa sobolahu

take our lives upon his faith, cause us to tread his paths,

وَ اسْتَعْمِلْنَا بِسُنَّتِهٖ

was ta’milnaa be-sunnatehi

and employ us in the practice of his Sunnah,

غَيْرَ خَزَايَا وَ لَا نَادِمِيْنَ، وَ لَا شَاكِّيْنَ، وَ لَا مُبَدِّلِيْنَ

ghayra khazaa-yaa wa laa naademeena, wa laa shaakkeena, wa laa mobaddeleena

neither disgraced nor regretful, neither doubting nor altering the truth.

يَا مَنْ بَابُهٗ مَفْتُوْحٌ لِدَاعِيْهِ

yaa man baabohu maftoohun le-daa-e’ehe

O One whose door is wide open to those who call upon Him,

وَ حِجَابُهٗ مَرْفُوْعٌ لِرَاجِيْهِ

wa hejaabohu marfoo-u’n le-raajeehe

and whose veil is lifted for those who place hope in Him!

يَا سَاتِرَ الْاَمْرِ الْقَبِيْحِ، وَ مُدَاوِيْ الْقَلْبِ الْجَرِيْحِ

yaa saateral amril qabeehe, wa modaa-wel qalbil jareehe

O Concealer of vile deeds, and Healer of wounded hearts,

لَا تَفْضَحْنِيْ فِيْ مَشْهَدِ الْقِيَامَةِ بِمُوْبِقَاتِ الْاٰثَامِ

laa tafzahnee fee mash-hadil qeyaamate bemoobeqaatil aasaame

do not expose me at the gathering of the Resurrection through destructive sins,

وَ لَا تُعْرِضْ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ عَنِّيْ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْاَنَامِ

wa laa to’riz be-wajhekal kareeme a’nnee min baynil anaame

and do not turn Your noble face away from me from among all the creation.

يَا غَايَةَ الْمُضْطَرِّ الْفَقِيْرِ، وَ يَا جَابِرَ الْعَظْمِ الْكَسِيْرِ

yaa ghaayatal muztarril faqeere, wa yaa jaberal a’zmil kaseere

O ultimate shelter of the destitute in distress, O Mender of broken bones!

هَبْ لِيْ مُوْبِقَاتِ الْجَرَائِرِ، وَ اعْفُ عَنْ فَاضِحَاتِ السَّرَائِرِ

hab lee moobeqaatil jaraa-ere, wa’ fo a’n faazehaatis saraa-ere

Pardon my ruinous crimes, and forgive my disgraceful secrets,

وَ اغْسِلْ قَلْبِيْ مِنْ وِزْرِ الْخَطَايَا

wagh sil qalbee min wizril khataayaa

wash my heart clean from the heavy burden of sins,

وَ ارْزُقْنِيْ حُسْنَ الْاِسْتِعْدَادِ لِنُزُوْلِ الْمَنَايَا

war zuqnee husnal iste’daade lenozoolil manaayaa

and grant me good preparation for the descent of death.

يَا اَكْرَمَ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ وَ مُنْتَهٰى اُمْنِيَّةِ السَّائِلِيْنَ

yaa akramal akrameena wa muntahaa umniyyatis saaeleena

O Most Generous of the generous, and ultimate aspiration of those who plead!

اَنْتَ مَوْلَايَ، فَتَحْتَ لِيْ بَابَ الدُّعَاءِ وَ الْاِنَابَةِ

anta mawlaaya, fatahta lee baabad do-a’a-e wal enaabate

You are my Master; You opened for me the gate of prayer and repentance,

فَلَا تُغْلِقْ عَنِّيْ بَابَ الْقَبُوْلِ وَ الْاِجَابَةِ

falaa tughliq a’nnee baabal qaboole wal ejaabate

so do not shut against me the door of acceptance and response;

وَ نَجِّنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

wanajjenee be-rahmateka menan naare

rescue me by Your mercy from the Fire,

وَ بَوِّئْنِيْ غُرُفَاتِ الْجِنَانِ

wa bawwe-nee ghorofaatil jenaane

and settle me in the high chambers of Paradise.

وَ اجْعَلْنِيْ مُتَمَسِّكًا بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقٰى

waj a’lnee motamassekan bil-u’rwatil wusqaa

Make me hold firmly to the most trustworthy handhold,

وَ اخْتِمْ لِيْ بِالسَّعَادَةِ

wakh tim lee bis-sa-a’adate

seal my life with felicity,

وَ اَحْيِنِيْ بِالسَّلَامَةِ

wa ahyenee bis-salaamate

and grant me life with safety and peace,

يَا ذَا الْفَضْلِ وَ الْكَمَالِ، وَ الْعِزَّةِ وَ الْجَلَالِ

yaa zal fazle wal kamaale, wal i’zzate wal jalaale

O Owner of grace and perfection, and majesty and glory!

وَ لَا تُشْمِتْ بِيْ عَدُوًّا وَ لَا حَاسِدًا

wa laa tushmit bee a’duwwan wa laa haasedan

Do not let an enemy or an envious person gloat over me,

وَ لَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ سُلْطَانًا عَنِيْدًا وَ لَا شَيْطَانًا مَرِيْدًا

wa laa tosallit a’layya sultaanan a’needan wa laa shaytaanan mareedan

and do not impose upon me a stubborn oppressor nor a rebellious devil,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

be-rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeen

by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ

wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil a’liyyil a’zeeme

And there is no might nor power except with Allah, the Exalted, the Magnificent.

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِہٖ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِیْمًا

wa sallal laaho a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wa sallama tasleemaa

May Allah send blessings and peace abundantly upon Muhammad and his progeny.
