سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِعَظَمَتِهٖ
subhaana man tawaaza'a kullo shay-in le-'azamatih
Glorified is the One before Whose greatness everything is humbled.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ ذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِعِزَّتِهٖ
subhaana man zalla kullo shay-in le-'izzatih
Glorified is the One before Whose might everything is abased.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ خَضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِاَمْرِهٖ وَ مُلْكِهٖ
subhaana man khaza'a kullo shay-in le-amrihi wa mulkih
Glorified is the One before Whose command and dominion everything submits.
سُبْحَانَ مَنِ انْقَادَتْ لَهُ الْاُمُوْرُ بِاَزِمَّتِهَا
subhaana manin-qaadat lahul-umooru bi-azimmatika
Glorified is the One unto Whom all affairs yield by their reins.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَنْسَى مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ
al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee laa yansaa man dhakarah
All praise belongs to Allah, Who never forgets the one who remembers Him.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يُخَيِّبُ مَنْ دَعَاهُ
al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee laa yukhayyibu man da'aah
All praise belongs to Allah, Who never disappoints the one who calls upon Him.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي مَنْ تَوَكَّلَ عَلَيْهِ كَفَاهُ
al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee man tawakkala 'alayhi kafaah
All praise belongs to Allah, Who suffices whoever relies upon Him.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَامِكِ السَّمَاءِ
al-hamdu lillaahi saamiki as-samaa'
All praise belongs to Allah, the Elevator of the sky,
وَ سَاطِحِ الْأَرْضِ
wa saatihil-ard
the Spreader of the earth,
وَ حَاصِرِ الْبِحَارِ
wa haasiril-bihaar
the Confiner of the seas,
وَ نَاضِدِ الْجِبَالِ
wa naadidil-jibaal
the Setter of firm mountains,
وَ بَارِئِ الْحَيَوَانِ
wa baari'il-hayawaan
the Originator of living creatures,
وَ خَالِقِ الشَّجَرِ
wa khaaliqish-shajar
the Creator of trees,
وَ فَاتِحِ يَنَابِيعِ الْأَرْضِ
wa faatihi yanaabee'il-ard
the Opener of earth's springs,
وَ مُدَبِّرِ الْأُمُورِ
wa mudabbiril-umoor
the Disposer of all affairs,
وَ مُسَيِّرِ السَّحَابِ
wa musayyiris-sahaab
the Driver of clouds,
وَ مُجْرِي الرِّيحِ وَ الْمَاءِ
wa mujrir-reehi wal-maa'
the Conductor of wind and water,
وَ النَّارِ مِنْ أَغْوَارِ الْأَرْضِ مُتَسَارِعَاتٍ فِي الْهَوَاءِ
wan-naari min aghwaaril-ardi mutasaari'aatin fil-hawaa'
and the conductor of fire from the depths of the earth, surging through the atmosphere,
وَ مُهْبِطِ الْحَرِّ وَ الْبَرْدِ
wa muhbitil-harri wal-bard
the Bringer of heat and cold.
اَلَّذِيْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ
alladhee bi-ni'matihi tatimmus-saalihaat
The One through Whose blessing all good deeds are completed,
وَ بِشُكْرِهِ تُسْتَوْجَبُ الزِّيَادَاتُ
wa bi-shukrihi tustawjabuz-ziyaadaat
and by gratitude to Whom increase is made due;
وَبِأَمْرِهِ قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ
wa bi-amrihi qaamatis-samawaat
by Whose command the heavens stood firm,
وَبِعِزَّتِهِ اسْتَقَرَّتِ الرَّاسِيَاتُ
wa bi-'izzatihis-taqarratir-raasiyaat
by Whose might the anchored mountains were settled,
وَسَبَّحَتِ الْوُحُوشُ فِي الْفَلَوَاتِ
wa sabbahatil-wuhooshu fil-falawaat
and the wild beasts in the wilderness glorify Him,
وَالطَّيْرُ فِي الْوَكَنَاتِ
wat-tayru fil-wakanaat
as do the birds in their nests.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَفِيعِ الدَّرَجَاتِ
al-hamdu lillaahi rafee'id-darajaat
All praise belongs to Allah, the Exalted in ranks,
مُنْزِلِ الْآيَاتِ
munzilil-aayaat
the Revealer of signs,
وَاسِعِ الْبَرَكَاتِ
waasi'il-barakaat
the Vast in blessings,
سَاتِرِ الْعَوْرَاتِ
saatiril-'awraat
the Veiler of shortcomings,
قَابِلِ الْحَسَنَاتِ
qaabilil-hasanaat
the Accepter of virtues,
مُقِيلِ الْعَثَرَاتِ
muqeelil-'atharaat
the Pardoner of stumbles,
مُنَفِّسِ الْكُرُبَاتِ
munaffisil-kurubaat
the Dispeller of sorrows,
مُنْزِلِ الْبَرَكَاتِ
munzilil-barakaat
the Sender of bounties,
مُجِيبِ الدَّعَوَاتِ
mujeebid-da'awaat
the Answerer of supplications,
مُحْيِي الْأَمْوَاتِ
muhyil-amwaat
the Reviver of the dead,
إِلٰهِ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ السَّمَاوَاتِ
ilaahi man fil-ardi was-samawaat
the God of all who are in the earth and the heavens.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَمْدٍ وَ ذِكْرٍ
al-hamdu lillaahi 'alaa kulli hamdin wa dhikr
All praise belongs to Allah for every form of praise and remembrance,
وَ شُكْرٍ وَ صَبْرٍ
wa shukrin wa sabr
for every thanksgiving and patient perseverance,
وَ صَلَاةٍ وَ زَكَاةٍ
wa salaatin wa zakaah
for every prayer and charity,
وَ قِيَامٍ وَ عِبَادَةٍ
wa qiyaamin wa 'ibaadah
for standing in vigil and acts of worship,
وَ سَعَادَةٍ وَ بَرَكَةٍ
wa sa'aadatin wa barakah
for joy and blessing,
وَ زِيَادَةٍ وَ رَحْمَةٍ
wa ziyaadatin wa rahmah
for increase and mercy,
وَ نِعْمَةٍ وَ كَرَامَةٍ
wa ni'matin wa karaamah
for favor and dignity,
وَ فَرِيضَةٍ وَ سَرَّاءَ وَ ضَرَّاءَ
wa fareedatin wa sarraa'a wa darraa'
for prescribed duties, and for times of delight and distress,
وَ شِدَّةٍ وَ رَخَاءٍ
wa shiddatin wa rakhaa'
for hardship and relief,
وَ مُصِيبَةٍ وَ بَلَاءٍ
wa museebatin wa balaa'
for affliction and trial,
وَ عُسْرٍ وَ يُسْرٍ
wa 'usrin wa yusr
for difficulty and ease,
وَ غِنَاءٍ وَ فَقْرٍ
wa ghinaa'in wa faqr
for abundance and poverty,
وَ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ
wa 'alaa kulli haal
in every single condition,
وَ فِي كُلِّ أَوَانٍ وَ زَمَانٍ
wa fee kulli awaanin wa zamaan
at every moment and era,
وَ فِي كُلِّ مَثْوًى وَ مُنْقَلَبٍ وَ مُقَامٍ
wa fee kulli mathwan wa munqalabin wa maqaam
and in every resting place, journey's turn, and abode.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَائِذٌ بِكَ
allaahumma innee 'aa'idhun bik
O Allah, I take shelter in You,
وَ لَائِذٌ بِحِمَاكَ
wa laa'idhun bi-himaak
and seek sanctuary within Your protection,
مُتَحَرِّزٌ فِي حِصْنِكَ
mutaharrizun fee hisnik
fortified within Your stronghold,
مُتَعَرِّضٌ لِرَحْمَتِكَ
muta'arridun li-rahmatik
laying myself open to Your mercy,
وَ مُسْتَسْلِمٌ لِقَضَائِكَ
wa mustaslimun li-qadaa'ik
surrendering to Your decree,
وَ رَاضٍ بِحُكْمِكَ
wa raadin bi-hukmik
content with Your ruling,
مُوَكِّلٌ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ
muwakkilun amree ilayk
and entrusting my affair unto You.
أُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللهِ
ufawwidu amree ilal-laah
I commit my affair entirely to Allah;
إِنَّ اللهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
innal-laaha baseerun bil-'ibaad
indeed, Allah is Ever-Watchful over His servants.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يُرْجَى إِلَّا فَضْلُهُ
al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee laa yurjaa illaa fadluh
All praise belongs to Allah, from Whom nothing is hoped except His bounty,
وَلَا يُسْأَلُ إِلَّا عَفْوُهُ
wa laa yus'alu illaa 'afwuh
from Whom nothing is asked except His pardon,
وَلَا يُنْظَرُ إِلَّا بِرُّهُ
wa laa yunzaru illaa birruh
toward Whom nothing is anticipated except His goodness,
وَلَا يُخَافُ إِلَّا عَدْلُهُ
wa laa yukhaafu illaa 'adluh
from Whom nothing is feared except His justice,
وَلَا يُدْرَكُ إِلَّا عِلْمُهُ
wa laa yudraku illaa 'ilmuh
Whose essence none grasps except His own knowledge,
وَلَا يُحَاطُ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانِهِ
wa laa yuhaatu illaa bi-sultaanih
Who cannot be encompassed except by His authority,
وَلَا يَبْقَى إِلَّا مُلْكُهُ
wa laa yabqaa illaa mulkuh
Whose kingdom alone endures,
وَلَا يُعْبَدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ
wa laa yu'badu illaa iyyaah
none is worshipped save Him,
وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ
wa laa ilaaha illaa hoow
and there is no deity except Him.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَخْشَاكَ كَأَنِّي أَرَاكَ أَبَدًا حَتَّى أَلْقَاكَ
allaahummaj-'alnee akhshaaka ka'annee araaka abadan hattaa alqaak
O Allah, make me fear You as though I constantly behold You until I meet You;
وَأَسْعِدْنِي بِتَقْوَاكَ
wa as'idnee bi-taqwaak
grant me felicity through piety toward You,
وَلَا تُشْقِنِي بِمَعْصِيَتِكَ
wa laa tushqinee bi-ma'siyatik
do not make me miserable through disobedience to You,
وَخِرْ لِي فِي قَضَائِكَ
wa khir lee fee qadaa'ik
choose the best for me in Your decree,
وَبَارِكْ لِي فِي قَدَرِكَ
wa baarik lee fee qadarik
and bless me in Your divine measure,
حَتَّى لَا أُحِبَّ تَعْجِيلَ مَا أَخَّرْتَ وَلَا تَأْخِيرَ مَا عَجَّلْتَ
hattaa laa uhibba ta'jeela maa akh-kharta wa laa ta'kheera maa 'ajjalt
so that I do not desire the hasten of what You delay nor the delay of what You hasten.
وَاجْعَلْ غِنَايَ فِي نَفْسِي
waj-'al ghinaaya fee nafsee
Plant true richness in my soul;
وَأَمْتِعْنِي بِسَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي
wa amti'nee bi-sam'ee wa basaree
let me benefit from my hearing and my sight,
وَاجْعَلْهُمَا الْوَارِثَيْنِ مِنِّي
waj-'alhumal-waarithayni minnee
and make them both survive with me until death;
وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي
wan-surnee 'alaa man zalamanee
grant me victory over the one who has wronged me,
وَأَرِنِي فِيهِ ثَأْرِي
wa arinee feehi tha'ree
show me my vindication against him,
وَأَقِرَّ بِذَلِكَ عَيْنِي
wa aqirra bi-dhaalika 'aynee
and thereby cool and comfort my eyes.
اَللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي حَسَدَ الْحَاسِدِينَ
allaahummak-finee hasadal-haasideen
O Allah, protect me against the envy of the envious,
وَ بَغْيَ الْبَاغِينَ
wa baghyal-baagheen
the tyranny of the oppressors,
وَ كَيْدَ الْكَائِدِينَ
wa kaydal-kaa'ideen
the plots of the schemers,
وَ مَكْرَ الْمَاكِرِينَ
wa makral-maakireen
the deceit of the cunning,
وَ حِيلَةَ الْمُحْتَالِينَ
wa heelatal-muhtaaleen
the tricks of the deceitful,
وَ غِيلَةَ الْمُغْتَالِينَ
wa gheelatal-mughtaaleen
the ambushes of assassins,
وَ ظُلْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
wa zulmaz-zaalimeen
the injustice of the wrongdoers,
وَ جَوْرَ الْجَائِرِينَ
wa jawral-jaa'ireen
the oppression of the tyrants,
وَ اعْتِدَاءَ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
wa'tidaa'al-mu'tadeen
the aggression of the belligerent,
وَ سَخَطَ الْمُسْخِطِينَ
wa sakhatal-muskhiteen
the wrath of the angered,
وَ تَشَحُّبَ الْمُتَشَحِّبِينَ
wa tashahhobal-mutashahhibeen
the venomous hostility of enemies,
وَ صَوْلَةَ الصَّائِلِينَ
wa sawlatas-saa'ileen
the assault of invaders,
وَ اقْتِسَارَ الْمُقْتَسِرِينَ
waq-tisaaral-muqtashireen
the coercion of oppressors,
وَ غَشْمَ الْغَاشِمِينَ
wa ghashmal-ghaashimeen
the unfair violence of oppressors,
وَ خَبْطَ الْخَابِطِينَ
wa khabtal-khaabiteen
the reckless blows of assailants,
وَ سِعَايَةَ السَّاعِينَ
wa si'aayatas-saa'een
the slanderous campaigns of agitators,
وَ نَمَامَةَ النَّمَّامِينَ
wa namaamatan-nammaameen
the gossip of tale-bearers,
وَ سِحْرَ السَّحَرَةِ وَ الْمَرَدَّةِ وَ الشَّيَاطِينِ
wa sih ras-saharati wal-maradati wash-shayaateen
the sorcery of magicians, rebels, and devils,
وَ جَوْرَ السَّلَاطِينِ
wa jawras-salaateen
the tyranny of oppressive rulers,
وَ مَكْرُوْهَ الْعَالَمِينَ
wa makroohal-'aalameen
and the malice of all creation.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَخْزُونِ الطَّيِّبِ الطَّاهِرِ
allaahumma innee as'aluka bismikal-makhzoonit-tayyibit-taahir
O Allah, I implore You by Your hidden, pure, and undefiled Name,
الَّذِي قَامَتْ بِهِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ
alladhee qaamat bihis-samawaatu wal-ard
by which the heavens and the earth stand upright,
وَ أَشْرَقَتْ لَهُ الظُّلُمُ
wa ashraqat lahuz-zulum
through which the darknesses shone bright,
وَ سَبَّحَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ
wa sabbahat lahul-malaa'ikah
unto which the angels sang glorification,
وَ وَجِلَتْ مِنْهُ الْقُلُوبُ
wa wajilat minhul-quloob
from awe of which all hearts trembled,
وَ خَضَعَتْ لَهُ الرِّقَابُ
wa khada'at lahur-riqaab
before which all necks lowered in submission,
وَ أُحْيِيَتْ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى
wa uhyiyat bihil-mawtaa
and by which the dead were brought to life:
أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ أَذْنَبْتُهُ فِي ظُلُمِ اللَّيْلِ وَ ضَوْءِ النَّهَارِ
an taghfira lee kulla dhambin adhnabtuhu fee zulumil-layli wa daw'in-nahaar
that You forgive me every sin I committed in the darkness of the night or the daylight,
عَمْدًا أَوْ خَطَأً
'amdan aw khata'aa
deliberately or erroneously,
سِرًّا أَوْ عَلَانِيَةً
sirran aw 'alaaniyah
secretly or openly;
وَ أَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِينًا وَ هُدًى
wa an tahaba lee yaqeenan wa hudaa
and that You bestow upon me firm certainty and right guidance,
وَ نُورًا وَ عِلْمًا وَ فَهْمًا
wa nooran wa 'ilman wa fahmaa
radiant light, sacred knowledge, and profound understanding,
حَتَّى أُقِيمَ كِتَابَكَ
hattaa uqeema kitaabak
so that I may uphold Your Book,
وَ أُحِلَّ حَلَالَكَ
wa uhilla halaalak
declare lawful what You made lawful,
وَ أُحَرِّمَ حَرَامَكَ
wa uharrima haraamak
declare forbidden what You made forbidden,
وَ أُؤَدِّيَ فَرَائِضَكَ
wa u'addiya faraa'idak
fulfill Your obligatory duties,
وَ أُقِيمَ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
wa uqeema sunnata nabiyyika muhammadin sallal-laahu 'alayhi wa aalih
and revive the Sunnah of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family.
اَللَّهُمَّ الْحِقْنِي بِصَالِحِ مَنْ مَضَى
allaahummal-hiqnee bi-saalihi man madaa
O Allah, join me with the righteous who have passed away,
وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ صَالِحِ مَنْ بَقِيَ
waj-'alnee min saalihi man baqee
make me among the righteous who remain,
وَ اخْتِمْ لِي عَمَلِي بِأَحْسَنِهِ
wakh-tim lee 'amalee bi-ahsanihee
and seal my life with the finest of my deeds;
إِنَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
innaka ghafoorun raheem
truly, You are Most Forgiving, Merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِذَا فَنَى عُمْرِي وَ تَصَرَّمَتْ أَيَّامُ حَيَاتِي
allaahumma idhaa faniya 'umree wa tasarramat ayyaamu hayaatee
O Allah, when my lifespan reaches its end and the days of my life are spent,
وَ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ لِي مِنْ لِقَائِكَ
wa kaana laa budda lee min liqaa'ik
and I must inevitably come to meet You,
فَأَسْأَلُكَ يَا لَطِيفُ أَنْ تُوجِبَ لِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلًا
fa-as'aluka yaa lateefu an toojiba lee minal-jannati manzilaa
then I ask You, O Subtle and Gentle One, to appoint for me a station in Paradise
يَغْبِطُنِي بِهِ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَ الْآخِرُونَ
yaghbitunee bihil-awwaloona wal-aakhiroon
for which both the foremost and the latest generations will rejoice for me.
اَللَّهُمَّ اقْبَلْ مِدْحَتِي وَ الْتِهَافِي
allaahummaq-bal midhatee wal-tihaafee
O Allah, accept my extolment and fervent longing;
وَ ارْحَمْ ضَرَاعَتِي وَ هُتَافِي
war-ham daraa'atee wa hutaafee
have mercy on my humble pleading and cries,
وَ إِقْرَارِي عَلَى نَفْسِي وَ اعْتِرَافِي
wa iqraaree 'alaa nafsee wa'tiraafee
and my self-reckoning and honest confession,
فَقَدْ أَسْمَعْتُكَ صَوْتِي فِي الدَّاعِينَ
faqad asma'tuka sawtee fid-daa'een
for I have raised my voice to You among the supplicants,
وَ خُشُوعِي فِي الضَّارِعِينَ
wa khushoo'ee fid-daari'een
my humility among the prostrate,
وَ مِدْحَتِي فِي الْقَائِلِينَ
wa midhatee fil-qaa'ileen
my praise among the speakers,
وَ تَسْبِيحِي فِي الْمَادِحِينَ
wa tasbeehee fil-maadiheen
and my glorification among the eulogists.
وَ أَنْتَ مُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرِّينَ
wa anta mujeebul-mudtarreen
And You are the Responder to the distressed,
وَ مُغِيثُ الْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ
wa mugheethul-mustagheetheen
the Rescuer of those who plead for help,
وَ غِيَاثُ الْمَلْهُوفِينَ
wa ghiyaathul-malhoofeen
the Aid of the grief-stricken,
وَ حِرْزُ الْهَارِبِينَ
wa hirzul-haaribeen
the Sanctuary of fugitives,
وَ صَرِيخُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
wa sareekhul-mu'mineen
the Rescuer of the faithful,
وَ مُقِيلُ الْمُذْنِبِينَ
wa muqeelul-mudhnibeen
and the Pardoner of sinners.
وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى الْبَشِيرِ النَّذِيرِ وَ السِّرَاجِ الْمُنِيرِ
wa sallal-laahu 'alal-basheerin-nadheeri was-siraajil-muneer
May Allah send blessings upon the Bearer of Glad Tidings and Warner, the Illuminating Lamp,
وَ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَ النَّبِيِّينَ
wa 'alal-malaa'ikati wan-nabiyyeen
and upon the angels and all the prophets.
اَللَّهُمَّ دَاحِيَ الْمَدْحُوَّاتِ
allaahumma daahiyal-madhuwwaat
O Allah, Spreader of the leveled expanses,
وَ بَارِئَ الْمَسْمُوكَاتِ
wa baari'al-masmookaat
Fashioner of the vaulted skies,
وَ جَبَّالَ الْقُلُوبِ عَلَى فِطْرَتِهَا شَقِيِّهَا وَ سَعِيدِهَا
wa jabbaalal-quloobi 'alaa fitratihaa shaqiyyahaa wa sa'eedahaa
and Molder of hearts upon their natural dispositions—both the wretched and the blessed:
اجْعَلْ شَرَائِفَ صَلَوَاتِكَ
ij-'al sharaa'ifa salawaatik
shower the most noble of Your blessings,
وَ نَوَامِيَ بَرَكَاتِكَ
wa nawaamiya barakaatik
the ever-growing of Your bounties,
وَ كَرَائِمَ تَحِيَّاتِكَ
wa karaa'ima tahiyyaatik
and the most cherished of Your greetings
عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ أَمِينِكَ عَلَى وَحْيِكَ
'alaa muhammadin 'abdika wa rasoolika wa ameeneeka 'alaa wahyik
upon Muhammad, Your servant, Your Messenger, and the trustee of Your revelation;
الْقَائِمِ بِحُجَّتِكَ
al-qaa'imi bi-hujjatik
the upholder of Your proof,
وَ الذَّابِّ عَنْ حَرَمِكَ
wadh-dhaabbi 'an haramik
the defender of Your sacred sanctuary,
وَ الصَّادِعِ بِأَمْرِكَ
was-saadi'i bi-amrik
the proclaimer of Your mandate,
وَ الْمُشَيِّدِ لِآيَاتِكَ
wal-mushayyidi li-aayaatik
the establisher of Your signs,
وَ الْمُوفِي لِنَذْرِكَ
wal-moofee li-nadhrik
and the fulfiller of his vows to You.
اَللَّهُمَّ فَأَعْطِهِ بِكُلِّ فَضِيلَةٍ مِنْ فَضَائِلِهِ
allaahumma fa-a'tihi bi-kulli fadeelatin min fadaa'ilih
O Allah, award him for every virtue among his virtues,
وَ مَنْقَبَةٍ مِنْ مَنَاقِبِهِ
wa manqabatin min manaaqibih
for every noble quality among his merits,
وَ حَالٍ مِنْ أَحْوَالِهِ
wa haalin min ahwaalih
for every state among his states,
وَ مَنْزِلَةٍ مِنْ مَنَازِلِهِ
wa manzilatil min manaazilih
and for every rank among his ranks—
رَأَيْتَ مُحَمَّدًا لَكَ فِيهَا نَاصِرًا
ra'ayta muhammadan laka feehaa naasiraa
wherein You found Muhammad aiding Your cause,
وَ عَلَى مَكْرُوهِ بَلَائِكَ صَابِرًا
wa 'alaa makroohi balaa'ika saabiraa
patient under the brunt of Your trials,
وَ لِمَنْ عَادَاكَ مُعَادِيًا
wa liman 'aadaaka mu'aadiyaa
opposing whoever showed enmity toward You,
وَ لِمَنْ وَالَاكَ مُوَالِيًا
wa liman waalaaka muwaaliyaa
befriending whoever was loyal to You,
وَ عَمَّا كَرِهْتَ نَائِيًا
wa 'ammaa karihta naa'iyaa
staying far from what You disliked,
وَ إِلَى مَا أَحْبَبْتَ دَاعِيًا
wa ilaa maa ahbabta daa'iyaa
and calling toward what You loved—
فَضَائِلَ مِنْ جَزَائِكَ
fadaa'ila min jazaa'ik
virtues from Your recompense,
وَ خَصَائِصَ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ وَ حِبَائِكَ
wa khasaa'isa min 'ataa'ika wa hibaa'ik
and exceptional gifts from Your boundless favor and generosity,
تُسْنِي بِهَا أَمْرَهُ
tusnee bihaa amrah
by which You elevate his cause
وَ تُعْلِي بِهَا دَرَجَتَهُ مَعَ الْقُوَّامِ بِقِسْطِكَ
wa tu'lee bihaa darajatahu ma'al-quwwaami bi-qistik
and raise his rank among the upholders of Your justice
وَ الذَّابِّينَ عَنْ حَرَمِكَ
wadh-dhaabbeena 'an haramik
and the defenders of Your sanctuary,
حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى سَنَاءٌ وَ لَا بَهَاءٌ وَ لَا رَحْمَةٌ وَ لَا كَرَامَةٌ
hattaa laa yabqaa sanaa'un wa laa bahaa'un wa laa rahmatun wa laa karaamah
until no splendor, glory, mercy, or honor remains
إِلَّا خَصَّصْتَ مُحَمَّدًا بِذَلِكَ
illaa khassasta muhammadan bi-dhaalik
except that You have singularly favored Muhammad with it;
وَ آتَيْتَهُ مِنْكَ الذُّرَى
wa aataytahu minkadh-dhuraa
and grant him from You the highest peaks,
وَ بَلَّغْتَهُ الْمَقَامَاتِ الْعُلَى
wa ballaghtahul-maqaamaatil-'ulaa
and convey him to the most exalted stations.
آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
aameena rabbal-'aalameen
Amen, O Lord of the worlds!
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ دِينِي وَ نَفْسِي وَ جَمِيعَ نِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ
allaahumma innee astawdi'uka deenee wa nafsee wa jamee'a ni'matika 'alayy
O Allah, I entrust into Your keeping my faith, my soul, and every blessing You granted me;
فَاجْعَلْنِي فِي كَنَفِكَ وَ حِفْظِكَ
faj-'alnee fee kanafika wa hifzik
so enclose me within Your shelter and preservation,
وَ عِزِّكَ وَ مَنْعِكَ
wa 'izzika wa man'ik
Your honor, and Your impenetrable sanctuary.
عَزَّ جَارُكَ
'azza jaaruk
Exalted is Your protected neighbor,
وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
wa jalla thanaa'uk
magnificent is Your praise,
وَ تَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ
wa taqaddasat asmaa'uk
hallowed are Your names,
وَ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ
wa laa ilaaha ghayruk
and there is no deity besides You.
حَسْبِي أَنْتَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَ الضَّرَّاءِ وَ الشِّدَّةِ وَ الرَّخَاءِ
hasbee anta fis-sarraa'i wad-darraa'i wash-shiddati war-rakhaa'
You are sufficient for me in prosperity and adversity, in distress and ease,
وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
wa ni'mal-wakeel
and You are the Best Disposer of affairs.
رَبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا
rabbanaa 'alayka tawakkalnaa
Our Lord, upon You we have relied,
وَ إِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا
wa ilayka anabnaa
unto You we have turned,
وَ إِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
wa ilaykal-maseer
and unto You is the ultimate return.
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا
rabbanaa laa taj-'alnaa fitnatal lil-ladheena kafaroo
Our Lord, make us not a trial for those who disbelieve,
وَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا
wagh-fir lanaa rabbanaa
and forgive us, our Lord;
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
innaka antal-'azeezul-hakeem
indeed, You are the Almighty, the All-Wise.
رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ
rabbanas-rif 'annaa 'adhaaba jahannam
Our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell;
إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
inna 'adhaabahaa kaana gharaamaa
indeed, its torment is an inseparable anguish;
إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَ مُقَامًا
innahaa saa'at mustaqarran wa muqaamaa
truly, evil it is as an abode and a dwelling place.
رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ
rabbanash-tah baynanaa wa bayna qawminaa bil-haqq
Our Lord, judge between us and our people in truth,
وَ أَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ
wa anta khayrul-faatiheen
for You are the Best of Judges.
رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا
rabbanaa fagh-fir lanaa dhunoobanaa
Our Lord, forgive us our sins,
وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا
wa kaffir 'annaa sayyi'aatinaa
expiate from us our misdeeds,
وَ تَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ
wa tawaffanaa ma'al-abraar
and take our souls in death along with the righteous.
رَبَّنَا وَ آتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ
rabbanaa wa aatinaa maa wa'adtanaa 'alaa rusulik
Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers,
وَ لَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
wa laa tukhzinaa yawmal-qiyaamah
and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection;
إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ
innaka laa tukhliful-mee'aad
indeed, You never fail in Your promise.
رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا
rabbanaa laa tu'aakhidhnaa in naseenaa aw akhta'naa
Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake.
رَبَّنَا وَ لَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا
rabbanaa wa laa tahmil 'alaynaa isran kamaa hamaltahu 'alal-ladheena min qablinaa
Our Lord, lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us.
رَبَّنَا وَ لَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ
rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bih
Our Lord, burden us not with that which we have no capacity to bear.
وَ اعْفُ عَنَّا
wa'fu 'annaa
Pardon us,
وَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا
wagh-fir lanaa
forgive us,
وَ ارْحَمْنَا
war-hamnaa
and have mercy on us;
أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
anta mawlaanaa fan-surnaa 'alal-qawmil-kaafireen
You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanah
Our Lord, grant us good in this world,
وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
wa fil-aakhirati hasanah
and good in the Hereafter,
وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
wa qinaa 'adhaaban-naar
and save us from the torment of the Fire.
وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمًا
wa sallal-laahu 'alaa sayyidinaa muhammadinin-nabiyyi wa aalihit-taahireena wa sallama tasleemaa
And may Allah bless our Master Muhammad, the Prophet, and his pure family, and bestow complete peace.
