Yā man taghashshā libāsa an‑nūri as‑sāṭiʿ, alladhī istaḍāʾa bihi ahlu samāwātih …
O One who has enveloped Himself in the garment of radiant light, by which the inhabitants of His heavens are illuminated …

يَا وَاسِعًا بِحُسْنِ عَائِدَتِهِ، وَيَا مُلْبِسَنَا فَضْلَ رَحْمَتِهِ …
Yā wāsiʿan bi‑ḥusni ʿāʾidatihi, wa yā mulbisanā faḍla raḥmatihi …
O One vast in the excellence of His returning favor, O One who clothes us in the bounty of His mercy …

يَا رَبِّ، يَا رَبِّ، (فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ) عَبْدُكَ شَدِيدٌ حَيَاؤُهُ …
Yā Rabb, yā Rabb, (fulān ibn fulān) ʿabduka shadīdun ḥayāʾuh …
O Lord, O Lord — so‑and‑so, son of so‑and‑so, is Your servant, intense in his modesty …
اَللّٰهُمَّ هَبْ لِي حَقَّكَ، وَارْضَ عَنِّي خَلْقَكَ
Allāhumma hab lī ḥaqqak, wa arḍa ʿannī khalqak
O Allah, grant me Your due right, and make Your creation pleased with me.
وَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا لَا يَضُرُّكَ
Waghfir lī mā lā yaḍurruk
Forgive me that which does not harm You.
وَعَافِنِي مِمَّا لَا يَنْفَعُكَ
Wa ʿāfinī mimmā lā yanfaʿuk
And grant me well‑being from that which does not benefit You.
فَإِنَّ شِفَائِي لَا يَضُرُّكَ، وَعَذَابِي لَا يَنْفَعُكَ
Fa‑inna shifāʾī lā yaḍurruk, wa ʿadhābī lā yanfaʿuk
For my healing does not harm You, and my punishment does not benefit You.
فَإِنَّكَ تُعْطِي مَنْ يَسْأَلُكَ
Fa‑innaka tuʿṭī man yasʾaluk
Indeed, You give to the one who asks You.
وَتَغْضَبُ عَلَى مَنْ لَا يَسْأَلُكَ
Wa taghḍabu ʿalā man lā yasʾaluk
And You become displeased with the one who does not ask You.
وَلَنْ يَفْعَلَ ذٰلِكَ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكَ
Wa lan yafʿala dhālika aḥadun ghayruk
And no one does that besides You.
سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ
Subḥānaka wa bi‑ḥamdik
Glory be to You, and praise is Yours.
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ
Allāhumma lā ilāha illā anta, subḥānaka wa bi‑ḥamdik
O Allah, there is no deity except You — Glory be to You, and praise is Yours.
عَمِلْتُ سُوءًا وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي
ʿAmiltu sūʾan wa ẓalamtu nafsī fa‑ghfir lī
I have committed evil and wronged myself, so forgive me.
فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Fa‑innahu lā yaghfiru adh‑dhunūba illā anta
For indeed none forgives sins except You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنْ تُعَذِّبْنِي فَأَهْلُ ذٰلِكَ أَنَا
Allāhumma in tuʿadhdhibnī fa‑ahl dhālika anā
O Allah, if You punish me — then I am deserving of that.
وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لِي فَأَهْلُ ذٰلِكَ أَنْتَ
Wa in taghfir lī fa‑ahl dhālika anta
And if You forgive me — then You are deserving of that.
— It was said to him: “You are forgiven, O Ādam.” Then he said: “and for my offspring after me.” It was said: Whoever among them confesses as you did will be forgiven.
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ عَامِلٍ أَجْرًا، وَإِنِّي قَدْ عَمِلْتُ
Allāhumma inna li‑kulli ʿāmilin ajrā, wa‑innī qad ʿamiltu
O Allah, indeed for every doer there is a reward, and I have acted.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي
Allāhumma ighfir lī dhanbī
O Allah, forgive my sin.
وَلِذُرِّيَّتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي
Wa li‑dhurriyyatī min baʿdī
And for my progeny after me.
اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْفَعْ ظَنِّي صَاعِدًا
Allāhumma irfaʿ ẓannī ṣāʿidan
O Allah, raise my expectation upward.
وَلَا تُطْمِعْ فِيَّ عَدُوًّا وَلَا حَاسِدًا
Wa lā tuṭmiʿ fiyya ʿaduwwan wa lā ḥāsidan
And do not give hope against me to an enemy nor an envier.
وَاحْفَظْنِي قَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا وَيَقْظَانًا وَرَاقِدًا
Wa‑ḥfaẓnī qāʾiman wa qāʿidan, wa yaqẓānan wa rāqidan
Preserve me standing and sitting, awake and asleep.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي
Allāhumma ighfir lī wa arḥamnī
O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me.
وَاهْدِنِي سَبِيلَكَ الْأَقْوَمَ
Wahdinī sabīlaka al‑aqwam
Guide me to Your most upright path.
وَقِنِي حَرَّ جَهَنَّمَ
Waqinī ḥarra Jahannam
Protect me from the heat of Hell.
وَاحْطُطْ عَنِّي الْمَغْرَمَ وَالْمَأْثَمَ
Wa‑ḥṭuṭ ʿannī al‑maghrama wa al‑maʾthama
Remove from me liability and sin.
وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ خَيْرِ خِيَارِ الْعَالَمِ
Wajʿalnī min khayri khiyāri al‑ʿālam
And make me among the best of the chosen of creation.

Allāhumma rabbanā laka al‑ḥamdu kulluhu jumlatuhu wa tafṣīluh …
O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs all praise — in its entirety and in its detail …
