The prayer of Sanamay-Quraish (the idols of Quraish) is a very authentic supplication of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) against the oppressors
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْ صَنَمَيْ قُرَيْشٍ
Allaahummal-'an sanamay quraysh
O Allah! Curse the two idols of Quraish,
وَ جِبْتَيْهَا
wa jibtayhaa
and their two magicians,
وَ طَاغُوتَيْهَا
wa taaghootayhaa
and their two rebellious tyrants,
وَ إِفْكَيْهَا
wa ifkayhaa
and their two accusers,
وَ ابْنَتَيْهِمَا
wabnatayhimaa
and their two daughters.
اللَّذَيْنِ خَالَفَا أَمْرَكَ
alladhayni khaalafaa amrak
Both who opposed Your command,
وَ أَنْكَرَا وَحْيَكَ
wa ankaraa wahyak
denied Your revelation,
وَ جَحَدَا إِنْعَامَكَ
wa jahadaa in'aamak
disbelieved in Your blessings,
وَ عَصَيَا رَسُولَكَ
wa 'asayaa rasoolak
disobeyed Your Messenger,
وَ قَلَّبَا دِينَكَ
wa qallabaa deenak
overturned Your religion,
وَ حَرَّفَا كِتَابَكَ
wa harrafaa kitaabak
distorted Your Book,
وَ أَحَبَّا أَعْدَاءَكَ
wa ahabbaa a'daa'ak
loved Your enemies,
وَ جَحَدَا آلَاءَكَ
wa jahadaa aalaa'ak
rejected Your bounties,
وَ عَطَّلَا أَحْكَامَكَ
wa 'attalaa ahkaamak
suspended Your laws,
وَ أَبْطَلَا فَرَائِضَكَ
wa abtalaa faraa'idak
invalidated Your obligatory duties,
وَ أَلْحَدَا فِي آيَاتِكَ
wa al-hadaa fee aayaatik
apostatized regarding Your signs,
وَ عَادَيَا أَوْلِيَاءَكَ
wa 'aadayaa awliyaa'ak
showed hostility toward Your close allies,
وَ وَالَيَا أَعْدَاءَكَ
wa waalayaa a'daa'ak
befriended Your adversaries,
وَ خَرَّبَا بِلَادَكَ
wa kharrabaa bilaadak
ruined Your lands,
وَ أَفْسَدَا عِبَادَكَ
wa afsadaa 'ibaadak
and corrupted Your servants.
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا
Allaahummal-'anhumaa
O Allah! Curse both of them,
وَ أَتْبَاعَهُمَا
wa atbaa'ahumaa
and their followers,
وَ أَوْلِيَاءَهُمَا
wa awliyaa'ahumaa
their allies,
وَ أَشْيَاعَهُمَا
wa ashyaa'ahumaa
their factions,
وَ مُحِبِّيهِمَا
wa muhibbeehimaa
and their lovers.
فَقَدْ أَخْرَبَا بَيْتَ النُّبُوَّةِ
faqad akhrabaa baytan-nubuwwah
For indeed, they ruined the house of prophethood,
وَ رَدَمَا بَابَهُ
wa radamaa baabah
blocked its door,
وَ نَقَضَا سَقْفَهُ
wa naqadaa saqfah
shattered its ceiling,
وَ أَلْحَقَا سَمَاءَهُ بِأَرْضِهِ
wa alhaqaa samaa'ahu bi-ardih
leveled its sky to its ground,
وَ عَالِيَهُ بِسَافِلِهِ
wa 'aaliyahu bi-saafilih
its highest to its lowest,
وَ ظَاهِرَهُ بِبَاطِنِهِ
wa zaahirahu bi-baatinih
its exterior to its interior,
وَ اسْتَأْصَلَا أَهْلَهُ
wastassalaa ahlah
uprooted its family,
وَ أَبَادَا أَنْصَارَهُ
wa abaadaa ansaarah
annihilated its supporters,
وَ قَتَلَا أَطْفَالَهُ
wa qatalaa atfaalah
killed its infants,
وَ أَخْلَيَا مِنْبَرَهُ مِنْ وَصِيِّهِ وَ وَارِثِ عِلْمِهِ
wa akhlayaa mimbarihi min wasiyyih
deprived its pulpit of its rightful inheritor and successor of divine knowledge,
وَ جَحَدَا إِمَامَتَهُ
wa waarithi 'ilmih
denied his leadership,
وَ أَشْرَكَا بِرَبِّهِمَا
wa jahadaa imaamatah
and ascribed partners to their Lord.
فَعَظِّمْ ذَنْبَهُمَا
wa ashrakaa bi-rabbihimaa
So magnify their sins,
وَ خَلِّدْهُمَا فِي سَقَرَ
fa-'azzim dhambahumaa
and cast them into Saqar forever.
وَ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
wa khallid-humaa fee saqar
And what will make you realize what Saqar is?
لَا تُبْقِي وَ لَا تَذَرُ
wa maa adraaka maa saqar
It leaves nothing, nor lets anything remain.
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ مُنْكَرٍ أَتَوْهُ
laa tubqee wa laa tadhar
O Allah, curse them to the number of every evil deed they committed,
وَ حَقٍّ أَخْفَوْهُ
Allaahummal-'anhum bi-'adadi kulli munkarin atawh
every truth they concealed,
وَ مِنْبَرٍ عَلَوْهُ
wa haqqin akhfawh
every pulpit they ascended,
وَ مُؤْمِنٍ أَرْجَوْهُ
wa mimbarin 'alawh
every believer they marginalized,
وَ مُنَافِقٍ وَلَّوْهُ
wa mu'minin arjawh
every hypocrite they favored,
وَ وَلِيٍّ آذَوْهُ
wa munaafiqin wallawh
every righteous ally they tormented,
وَ طَرِيدٍ آوَوْهُ
wa waliyyin aadhawh
every outcast they sheltered,
وَ صَادِقٍ طَرَدُوهُ
wa tareedin aawawh
every truthful person they expelled,
وَ كَافِرٍ نَصَرُوهُ
wa saadiqin taradooh
every disbeliever they supported,
وَ إِمَامٍ قَهَرُوهُ
wa kaafirin nasarooh
every leader they subjugated,
وَ فَرْضٍ غَيَّرُوهُ
wa imaamin qaharoh
every duty they altered,
وَ أَثَرٍ أَنْكَرُوهُ
wa fardin ghayyaroh
every prophetic teaching they denied,
وَ شَرٍّ آثَرُوهُ
wa atharin ankaroh
every evil they preferred,
وَ دَمٍ أَرَاقُوهُ
wa sharrin aatharuh
every drop of blood they spilled,
وَ خَيْرٍ بَدَّلُوهُ
wa damin araaqooh
every virtue they substituted,
وَ كُفْرٍ نَصَبُوهُ
wa khayrin baddalooh
every disbelief they established,
وَ كِذْبٍ دَلَّسُوهُ
wa kufrin nasabooh
every falsehood they fabricated,
وَ إِرْثٍ غَصَبُوهُ
wa kidhbin dallasooh
every inheritance they usurped,
وَ فَيْءٍ اقْتَطَعُوهُ
wa irthin ghasabooh
every tribute they seized,
وَ سُحْتٍ أَكَلُوهُ
wa fay'in-iqtata'ooh
every illicit gain they consumed,
وَ خُمْسٍ اسْتَحَلُّوهُ
wa suhtin akalooh
every fifth-part (Khums) they legalized for themselves,
وَ بَاطِلٍ أَسَّسُوهُ
wa khumsin-istahallooh
every falsehood they instituted,
وَ جَوْرٍ بَسَطُوهُ
wa baatilin assasooh
every oppression they spread,
وَ نِفَاقٍ أَسَرُّوهُ
wa jawrin basatooh
every hypocrisy they harbored,
وَ غَدْرٍ أَضْمَرُوهُ
wa nifaaqin asarrooh
every betrayal they concealed,
وَ ظُلْمٍ نَشَرُوهُ
wa ghadrin admarooh
every injustice they broadcast,
وَ وَعْدٍ أَخْلَفُوهُ
wa zulmin nasharooh
every promise they broke,
وَ أَمَانَةٍ خَانُوهَا
wa wa'din akhlafooh
every trust they betrayed,
وَ عَهْدٍ نَقَضُوهُ
wa amaanatin khaanoohaa
every covenant they breached,
وَ حَلَالٍ حَرَّمُوهُ
wa 'ahdin naqadooh
every lawful thing they prohibited,
وَ حَرَامٍ أَحَلُّوهُ
wa halaalin harramooh
every unlawful thing they made permissible,
وَ بَطْنٍ فَتَقُوهُ
wa haraamin ahallooh
every womb they ruptured,
وَ جَنِينٍ أَسْقَطُوهُ
wa batnin fataqooh
every fetus they aborted,
وَ ضِلْعٍ دَقُّوهُ
wa janeenin asqatooh
every rib they broke,
وَ صَكٍّ مَزَّقُوهُ
wa dil'in daqqooh
every document they tore up,
وَ شَمْلٍ بَدَّدُوهُ
wa sakkin mazzaqooh
every unity they scattered,
وَ عَزِيزٍ أَذَلُّوهُ
wa shamlin baddadooh
every honorable person they humiliated,
وَ ذَلِيلٍ أَعَزُّوهُ
wa 'azeezin adhallooh
every lowly person they elevated,
وَ حَقٍّ مَنَعُوهُ
wa dhaleelin a'azzooh
every right they withheld,
وَ كِذْبٍ دَلَّسُوهُ
wa haqqin mana'ooh
every deception they practiced,
وَ حُكْمٍ قَلَّبُوهُ
wa kidhbin dallasooh
every decree they overturned,
وَ إِمَامٍ خَالَفُوهُ
wa hukmin qallabooh
and every rightful leader they opposed.
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ آيَةٍ حَرَّفُوهَا
wa imaamin khaalafooh
O Allah! Curse both of them to the count of every verse they twisted,
وَ فَرِيضَةٍ تَرَكُوهَا
Allaahummal-'anhumaa bi-'adadi kulli aayatin harrafoohaa
every duty they abandoned,
وَ سُنَّةٍ غَيَّرُوهَا
wa fareedatin tarakoohaa
every tradition they changed,
وَ أَحْكَامٍ عَطَّلُوهَا
wa sunnatin ghayyaroohaa
every ordinance they abolished,
وَ رُسُومٍ قَطَعُوهَا
wa ahkaamin 'attaloohaa
every custom they dismantled,
وَ وَصِيَّةٍ بَدَّلُوهَا
wa rusoomin qata'oohaa
every will they tampered with,
وَ أُمُورٍ ضَيَّعُوهَا
wa wasiyyatin baddaloohaa
every matter they squandered,
وَ بَيْعَةٍ نَكَثُوهَا
wa umoorin dayya'oohaa
every allegiance they broke,
وَ شَهَادَاتٍ كَتَمُوهَا
wa bay'atin nakathoohaa
every testimony they suppressed,
وَ دَعْوَى أَبْطَلُوهَا
wa shahaadaatin katamoohaa
every claim they nullified,
وَ بَيِّنَةٍ أَنْكَرُوهَا
wa da'waan abtaloohaa
every proof they denied,
وَ حِيلَةٍ أَحْدَثُوهَا
wa bayyinatin ankaroohaa
every plot they devised,
وَ خِيَانَةٍ أَوْرَدُوهَا
wa heelatin ahdathoohaa
every treachery they committed,
وَ عَقَبَةٍ ارْتَقَوْهَا
wa khiyaanatin awradoohaa
every pass they scaled,
وَ دِبَابٍ دَحْرَجُوهَا
wa 'aqabatin-irtaqawhaa
every container they rolled,
وَ أَزْيَافٍ لَزِمُوهَا
wa dibaabin dahrajoohaa
and every deceit they clung to.
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا فِي مَكْنُونِ السِّرِّ وَ ظَاهِرِ الْعَلَانِيَةِ
wa azyaafin lazimoohaa
O Allah! Curse both of them in the secret of privacy and the openness of publicity,
لَعْنًا كَثِيرًا
Allaahummal-'anhumaa fee maknoonis-sirri wa zaahiril-'alaaniyah
with an abundant curse,
أَبَدًا دَائِمًا دَائِبًا سَرْمَدًا
la'nan katheeraa
eternal, continuous, perpetual, and everlasting,
لَا انْقِطَاعَ لِأَمَدِهِ
abadan daa'iman daa'iban sarmadaa
whose duration has no end,
وَ لَا نَفَادَ لِعَدَدِهِ
lan-qitaa'a li-amadih
and whose count has no limit;
لَعْنًا يَعُودُ أَوَّلُهُ
wa laa nafaadha li-'adadih
a curse whose beginning returns,
وَ لَا يَنْقَطِعُ آخِرُهُ
la'nan ya'oodu awwaluh
and whose end never ceases.
لَهُمْ وَ لِأَعْوَانِهِمْ
wa laa yanqati'u aakhiruh
For them, and their assistants,
وَ أَنْصَارِهِمْ
lahum wa li-a'waanihim
their supporters,
وَ مُحِبِّيهِمْ
wa ansaarihim
their admirers,
وَ مُوَالِيهِمْ
wa muhibbeehim
their adherents,
وَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ لَهُمْ
wa muwaaleehim
those who submit to them,
وَ الْمَائِلِينَ إِلَيْهِمْ
wal-muslimeena lahum
those inclined toward them,
وَ النَّاهِقِينَ بِاحْتِجَاجِهِمْ
wal-maa'ileena ilayhim
those clamoring with their arguments,
وَ النَّاهِضِينَ بِأَجْنِحَتِهِمْ
wan-naahiqeena bi-htijaajihim
those rising up under their wings,
وَ الْمُقْتَدِينَ بِكَلَامِهِمْ
wan-naahideena bi-ajnihatihim
those who imitate their words,
وَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ بِأَحْكَامِهِمْ
wal-muqtadeena bi-kalaamihim
and those who confirm their judgments.
اَللَّهُمَّ عَذِّبْهُمْ عَذَابًا يَسْتَغِيثُ مِنْهُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ
wal-musaddiqeena bi-ahkaamihim
O Allah! Punish them with a torment from which even the people of Hell scream for refuge.
آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Allaahumma 'adhdhib-hum 'adhaaban yastagheethu minhu ahlu-naar
Amen, O Lord of the worlds!
aameen yaa rabbal-'aalameen
