Naad e Ali (seeking help from Imam Ali(as))

نَادِ عَلِیًّا مَّظْهَرَ الْعَجَائِبِ،

Naad-e-‘ali yyan-mazharil ‘ajaaibi

Call on Ali, (He) is able to bring about the extraordinary.

تَجِدْهُ عَوْنًا لَّكَ فِی النَّوَائِبِ،

tajid hu ‘awnallaka finnawaa ibi

You will find him an effective supporter in all calamities.

كُلُّ هَمٍّ وَّغَمٍّ سَیَنْجَلِیْ،

qullu haminwwa ‘ghammin sayanjali

(All) worries and sorrows will soon disappear .

بِعَظَمَتِكَ یَا اللّٰهُ بِنُبُوَّتِكَ یَا مُحَمَّدُ بِوَلَایَتِكَ،

bi rahmatika ya allahu wabi nabuwwatika ya muhammadu wabi wil ayaatika

by Your greatness of O Allah, By Your Prophethood O Mohammed, By your Vicergency

یَا عَلِیُّ یَا عَلِیُّ یَا عَلِیُّ

ya aliyyu ya aliyyu ya ali

O Ali! O Ali! O Ali!

نَادِ عَلِیًّا مَّظْهَرَ الْعَجَائِبِ تَجِدْهُ عَوْنًا لَّكَ فِی النَّوَائِبِ

Nade ali-yan mazharal ajaa’ib, tajid-ho avnal-laka fin navaa’ib

Call Ali, who is Manifestor of wonders, Thou shall surely find him helper in your difficulties,

كُلَّ هَمٍّ وَّغَمٍّ اِلَى اللّٰهِ حَاجَتِیْ وَعَلَیْهِ مُعَوَّلِیْ كُلَّمَا رَمَیْتُ مُتَقَاضِیْ فِی اللّٰهِ یَدُ اللّٰهِ وَلِیُّ اللّٰهِ لِیْ

koollo hammin wa ghammin ilal-lahe hajati wa alai-he mo’ av-vali kool-le-ma ra-maito mota-qazi fil-lahe ya-dool-lahe vali-yool-lahe lee

all grief and sorrow shall be removed. I submit my temporal wishes to Thee on whom I trust and always referred Thee to bestow fulfillment of temporal wishes.

اَدْعُوْكَ كُلَّ هَمٍّ وَّغَمٍّ سَیَنْجَلِیْ

ad’ooka koolle ham’min wa gham’min sa-yan-jali

O! Having Thee bestowed support, O! Thee Appointed Wali,

بِعَظَمَتِكَ یَا اللّٰهُ بِنُبُوَّتِكَ یَا مُحَمَّدُ بِوَلَایَتِكَ یَا عَلِیُّ یَا عَلِیُّ یَا عَلِیُّ اَدْرِكْنِیْ بِحَقِّ لُطْفِكَ الْخَفِیِّ

be azmateka ya allah-ho be naboo-vateka ya mohammad sal-lal-laho alai-he wa aalehi wa’sallam be vila-ya-teka ya ali-yo, ya-ali-yo, ya ali-yo adrikni

All grief and Sorrows will disappear, By Thee by Thy tremendousness O! Lord, By Thee by Thy Apostleship O! Muhammad, - Blessings of Thee on Thy Apostle & descendants, By Thee by Thy granted Power & Authority of Wail, O! Ali, O Ali, O! Ali Help!

اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ

allah’ho akbar, allah ‘ho akbar allah’ho akbar

Allah the Almighty is Supreme, Allah the Almighty is supreme, Allah the Almighty is supreme,

اَنَا مِنْ شَرِّ اَعْدَائِكَ بَرِیْءٌ بَرِیْءٌ

ana min sharre a’daa’eka bariyoon

I am relieved from the enmity of (your) enemies.

اَللّٰهُ صَمَدِیْ بِحَقِّ اِیَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَاِیَّاكَ نَسْتَعِیْنُ

allaho samadi wa aley-ka motamadi be haqqe iyyaka na’bodo wa iyyaka nasta’een

Thee is Eternal, Absolute; I have trust in Thee, By that truth, Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech help.

یَا اَبَا الْغَیْثِ اَعِنِّیْ یَا عَلِیُّ اَدْرِكْنِیْ

Ya abal ghaise aghasini ya ali yo adrikni

O! Helper of the Seekers of help!, O! Ali help!,

یَا قَاهِرَ الْعَدُوِّ وَیَا وَالِیَ الْوَلِیِّ یَا مَظْهَرَ الْعَجَائِبِ یَا مُرْتَضٰی عَلِیُّ

ya qaheral aduv-vey ya waliyal waliye ya mazahral ajaa’ebe ya murtaza aliyo

O! Mighty all winner over enemies, O! Eternal Leaders of the Leaders, O! Manifestor of Wonders, O! The Chosen one,

یَا قَهَّارُ تَقَهَّرْتَ بِالْقَهْرِ وَالْقَهْرُ فِیْ قَهْرِ قَهْرِكَ یَا قَهَّارُ

ya qah-haro ta-qah-harta bil qahro val qahro fee qahre qah-reka ya qah-haro

O! Mighty and Powerful, O! Mighty, Valiant, Chivalrous Able oppressor of antagonists Might & Valour is yours, O! Powerful combater,

یَا ذَا الْبَطْشِ الشَّدِیْدِ اَنْتَ الْقَاهِرُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُهْلِكُ الْمُنْتَقِمُ الْقَوِیُّ الَّذِیْ لَا یُطَاقُ انْتِقَامُهُ

ya zal batsish shadeedey antal kaherul jabbrul mohlekul munta’qeymul qvee-ul lazi la yutaaqoo inteq’amohu

You are mighty and Irresistible, Such a Powerful & Strong avenger that none is capable to resist nor keeps power to revenge

وَأُفَوِّضُ اَمْرِیْ اِلَى اللّٰهِ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَصِیْرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ

Wa uf-faw-we-zoo amri illalahe inal-laha baseerum bil ibade

I submit my temporal wishes to Thee, The supreme, No doubt Thy is All Knowing O! People,

وَاِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِیْمُ

wa illahokum illahu’wn wahe’dun la-ilaha illa ho-wer rahmanur rahemo

There is no God except ALLAH The Supreme, The Merciful, The Beneficent

حَسْبِیَ اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِیْلُ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلٰی وَنِعْمَ النَّصِیْرُ

has-be-yal-laa- ho wa- naimal-wakeelo naimal maula wa naimal naseero

O! Allah, Thy is sufficient, The best Governor, The best Master, The best Helper.

یَا غِیَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِیْثِیْنَ اَغِثْنِیْ

ya-ghe-ya-sal moos-tageeseena aghis’ni

O! Helper of seekers of help and bereft,

یَا اَرْحَمَ الْمَسَاكِیْنَ ارْحَمْنِیْ

ya arhamal-masakeena irhamani

O! The Merciful helper of poor, Come for Help!

یَا عَلِیُّ اَدْرِكْنِیْ یَا عَلِیُّ اَدْرِكْنِیْ

ya ali-yo adrikni, ya ali-yo adrikniu

O! Ali Help! O! Ali Help!,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَمَنِّكَ وَجُوْدِكَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ

be rehmateka wa man-neka wa joodeka ya arhamar rahemeen

O! Thee by Thy Mercy, by Thy Favour, by Thy Goodness of rewarding, (Help) O! Thee The Merciful and The Most Gracious.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

alla-homma so’alle ala mohammadin wa aale mohammad

O! Allah Bless Mohammed and his progeny.
